I hear people say this all the time too :(
No, you can NOT get your "period" when pregnant. You period is when you release an egg and if it does not get fertilized, it is flushed from your body along with other tissue. When you are pregnant you r body dose NOT release an egg.. hence NO PERIOD.
BUT some women DO experience bleeding during their pregnancies, it is is normal. I have bled twice already (I am 17 weeks along). There are different causes, so if you are spotting or bleeding for the first time, please let your OB know so it can be checked out.

You can have bleeding, but not an actual period. A period is the disposal of the unused egg and uterus lining. If those 2 things came out while pregnant it would be a miscarriage. Women who say they had periods when pregnant are mislabeling the bleeding. About 20% of women bleed in the first trimester, and about half will miscarry. Other reasons for bleeding are blood clots, or blood from the cervix. If you are bleeding and think you are pregnant, take a test.

It's possible for you to have a period-like bleeding for some of your pregnancy, but it's not incredibly common. It's not really a PERIOD, but you can talk to your doctor.
If you see bleeding and think that you are pregnant, go to the doctor immediately.

Yes you can still have your period while you are pregnant. I know some peope who had their periods up untill the 4th or 5th month of pregnany. However it isnt very common at all. So if you think you may be pregnant and still have your period, remember that it is highly unlikely and just take a test.
Good luck!

Yes you can! I have heard of lots of women not even knowing they were pregnant because they still bled! But if you are bleeding I would call your doctor to get checked to make sure everything was alright!

No. If you think you are pregnant ad you bleed you should see your doctor. This could be a sign of miss carriage.

This happens often in the first trimester. You need to get to a doctor and find out for certain or at least get a drug store pregnancy test and find out.
