You can eat feta cheese if it is pasteurized. I looked at my grocery store, and at Trader Joes and all the ones I saw were pasteurized. I think most stores will only sell pasteurized cheeses and you probably have to go to a gourmet shop to get one that is not. But check the label just in case! Enjoy!
My 11 month old loves Feta! She eats it all the time!

Generally no. However, if you can find an American made feta cheese, look on the package. If it says pasteurized, you are in luck! Most of the soft cheeses that you are told not to eat are foreign made and don't use pasturized milk.

thats a tricky one. Most pregnancy advice books say to stay away from it. Soft cheeses like brie, feta, ect. can have lysteria bacteria in them, which can be fatal to a fetus. But all american produced cheeses have to be made from pasturised milks, so it kills the bacteria. I guess if you know the source of the cheese (domestic or foregin) then you cna decide if you want to eat it.

Only if it is pasteurized. You can find it out there, but it is normally not. Stay away from any soft cheeses that you don't know are pasteurized.

good luck!

if it's pasturized you can, no problem. otherwise there's no way to know if it's been handled properly or how fresh it is so it can be risky. (but i've had it before i knew & no problems at all)
