I'm only 5 weeks pregnant, so I'm obviously not showing yet. But I can't hide the fact that I'm sick. I've been off of work for almost a week, but luckily I have other symptoms like coughing and runny nose. So people just think I have a bad head cold. I sit in a cubicle all day typing, but this pregnancy is bringing me dizziness, which is giving me trouble with focusing. If my boss comes up behind me unexpectedly, and I'm not working because I'm dizzy, she may think I'm being lazy. Any suggestions on how to stop the dizziness or hide it?

i dont think you should hide something like that, because the truth is it cant be hidden...I think that if you dont want the whole WORLD to know you should at least tell your boss whats going on...that way she CAN be more understanding of whats going on....

1] drink about 1/2 gallon of water a day
2] eat small frequent meals - 1/2 sandwich and piece of fruit, granola bar, raw veggies, etc. - things you can stash in your purse.
3] Stash your favorite hard candy [ lifesavers, sourballs ] in your desk, and pocket. Suck on one if one of your snacks gets held up.
4] don't eat anything greasy, spicy, or sauced at night - can make morning sickness worse
5] eat a piece of dry toast or english muffin with honey in am -
gets blood sugar up without puking. Also try your favorite cereal, dry. Carry a drink for 30 min later.
6] bananas also worked for me.

It should only last a couple more weeks. You should mention it to your doctor as well.

I used to wear Sea Bands for nausea and dizziness, they might help you, too.

Maybe you should tell them. They might be sympathetic and not expect as much from you.
