I just found out yesterday morning that I am pregnant, however, I have had some cramping. By my guess, I am between 6-8 week pregnant (I have irregular periods, so it's hard to gauge). I have heard that cramping can be a sign of miscarriage, am I right to be worried?

she had sex the day after her period. she did not use a condom, she's not on birth control, and her spouse did not pull out. is there a possibility that she could be pregnant?? its only been 2 weeks but she is not sure. what should i tell her??

I have tried two types of pill and one type of patch. I have experienced uncontrollable bleeding that lasted more than a month at one point. My hair is also falling out like crazy! I have had two condoms break on me so I don't feel comfortable only using those. I have an 8 month old baby ... (I am married and in my 20's in case you were wondering) HELP!

I have had a perfectly normal pregnancy so far. All tests have come out as they should, baby is about average size, and the doctor even said that I couldn't ask for a better pregnancy for a first time mother. As of last Tuesday, I was dilated 1 cm but I don't believe I have had any contractions. I guess my question is: Does labor just come on suddenly? Are there any indicators of upcoming labor, or will I just wake up one morning and suddenly start doubling over in pain. Or wake up in the middle of the night. I'd like to hear some stories of other women's labors. I'm just getting so impatient!

Okay went to the doctor today and I might be totally mixing this up but Im suppose to be 18 wks, the first day of my last period was May 2nd(im positive of that). The nurse practioner said that Im only measuring at 13.5 inches. Does this mean the baby isn't growing correctly? Should I be concerned about any of this

have any of u traveled at 37 weeks. i am really homesick and my parents cant come but i am planning to go with my husband by car and its 3 hours away. i called the doctor and he said its not safe. i want to know what do i need or what will i do if my labor starts while i am there. please try to understand the fact i am really alone in this city. any advice will be good. i feel suffocated here

This is a post I put up the other day about my problem with my Doctor.




I am having a scheduled cesarean and my Dr's office just called me and left a message on my phone telling me the time and date of the procedure and she said I would need to go to the hospital a day before to have some pretesting done. I am healthy and have had no problems during this pregnancy. This will be my fourth c-section and I have never had to do any pretesting before, so I have no idea what that means.

Also my Doctor said before my surgery she will have me sign a paper saying that if she can't control bleeding i will consent to having a hysterectomy. Is this normal? I really don't want to have one. How common is this?

I plan on talking with her next Wednesday. What if she tells me she won't do the c-section without me signing the consent for the hysterectomy? Should I change doctor's or go with the flow? This dr. has been pressuring me to get my tubes tied she says becuse of repeat c-sections.

I am on no form of birthcontrol but me and my boyfriend has sex twice within one hour, each time he pulled out and in between he washed off his penis.

I'm 37 1/2 weeks pregnant and just got back from the doctors. He said I am 3 cm and 60% effaced - woo hoo :) How much bleeding is common after an internal exam? I just went to the bathroom and it looked like I was on my period. It was red blood with brown chunky stuff (sorry) and quite a bit of it. Is this normal? Doc's office is now closed and just wanted some feedback from other mom's before I pack up the fam and go to the hospital. Also, I know women can walk around for weeks dilated to a 1 or a 2, but how bout a 3 and 60%? God I hope it's gonna be soon! Thanks!

I'm 4 mths pregnant and every time I go to the OB they can't hear the heartbeat they have to do an ultrasound to be able to tell that the hearbeat is normal. So far everything is normal and my uterus leans towards toward the back this time they told me that my placenta is in the way. Has anyone else had or heard of this? And everything is definantly ok right?

Me and my girlfriend have never had unprotected sex, this month after her last period we only had sex about 5 times at the most. My condoms have never broken on me, because I always check them afterwards. Then, two weeks before her period she started noticing spotting, she immediately freaked out thinkIing that she is pregnant, she has no other symptoms of pregnancy, just spotting. She has been spotting for about 5 days, and its been nothing heavy. Today, 10 days before her period, she took a pregnancy test, it was negative. Has anyone ever had the feeling in the "Private" area that u have just had rough sex? Please I don't have it rough sex and besides I haven't had sex in shhh.... 7 months but, u hear woman about "Gangbanging" LoL I'm fars from being that type of person!!!! I just didn't know how to explain the feeling and thats what the first thing that came to mind.

2. Lower back pain. I can't sit very long. As of Aug 21 my weight was 240lbs. Remember I'm carring twins. 2 wks ago the boys weighed in an estimated twin a 4lbs 6oz and twin b 4lbs 1oz.
I know I only have 6 wks left. Cuz carring twins full term is at 38 wks.

I'm 18... it should be born around my 19th birthday. I'm 11 weeks now, and plan on saving my money, finding a room mate, and moving into an apt... and continuing with school.
I'm no longer with the father, but I have a new boyfriend that is very supportive, and I can for him very much.
I still can't decide if I should keep him or her or not. It's a hard decision, because I want to be able to, you know?
In the mean time, I dont plan on buying any baby furnerture, or much clothing, incase things go the other direction.

So my questions are
1) what are some things I NEED when bringing a baby home... like, things that cant wait a day or two to buy
2)do you think I should keep it if Im able to?

I am expecting my first child (boy) at the end of October. I do daycare out of my home so there was no option for insurance. My husband is able to get insurance thru his work, but open enrollement isn't until March/April 2008 and last year it was going to be about $500 per month, which we couldn't afford. I wanted a home birth anyways, so we went with a midwife. My husband is circumcised and so is his son, who lives with us full time (he's 7). We are really trying to weigh the pro's and con's to circumcision, but in the meantime, does anyone know about how much it would cost being uninsured? We just aren't sure what to do and money is a big concern. Please answer honestly. I am not looking for rude comments...

i had an abortion in feb of 2006, my senior year. i was with my bf for a year but we knew we werent ready i was still in school, so at 5 wks of pregnancy i took those abortion pills n omg ill never do that again. the pain i went through still gives me the chills n see everything happening made me cry. i didnt think of it nemore n we never told neone or spoke of it to each other. but then in august i got pregnant again using birth control n had a beautiful baby bon on my 19th birthday in may!we got married n we love him n so happy. but lately i keep thinking of the past n it makes me feel so bad that i did thatbut then i thuink if i went through my son wouldnt be here n i feel better but i dont like living with that. my husband tries to forget we did that cause hes never brought it up. so i never talk to him again. y am i feeling like this. im a proud catholic n went against y beliefs, i went to confession but i dont feel forgiven, ne1 have advice/ thanks
