Babies grow differently. I wouldn't worry until a little later in the pregnancy.

They will just want to be sure that the baby is developing as it should. Remember that ultrasounds go off an averaged baby size and if you and hubby or your family are shorter/smaller people the likelihood of having a smaller baby is pretty high.
You could also be slightly off on your dates so maybe you are actually 28 or so weeks instead of 31. Did you know with absolute certainty when you last full period was? If the doctor is able to hear the heartbeat and you can feel baby moving around then don't stress about it.
In two weeks they will probably be telling you the baby is going to be 8pd and healthy as it can be!
Good luck!

Measuring small is not really a big deal. Some babies are just small, but as long as your anatamy scan was good and the heart beat is good then I wouldnt worry about it too much.If there is a real problem your doctor will know. You still have 9 weeks to go and babies grow A LOT in the last few weeks.

It means nothing. As long as you're not getting smaller, and you've grown since your last visit thats all that matters.
Measuring your belly does nothing to determine baby size, or gestational age.
Its normal for them to do an US if you seem off by a large amount. But typically they dont, because tape measures are such an archaic medical device.
Just think of it as a chance to see your baby before birth! What fun!

you ned to eat an extra 300 ca;pries a day for the baby.try to sneak in a few more healthy snacks. it could just be your dates are wrong, but I think you need to look at the fact that you need to gain 25 lbs-35lbs total where are you at? you should have put on over 15 by now

you may just have a smaller baby. be thankful not have have to push out a 7 and 8 lbs babies. 5 to 6 lbs makes things easier at least that is my opinion.
