Okay, I don't seem to be showing too much, a lot of people say I don't look as far along as I am....anyways, What I want to know is if its normal for my tummy to be hard sometimes and smuchy other times?? Mainly my lower belly, under my belly button, sometimes it feels solid and sometimes its soft....what is the deal?!!??!

I use sweet and low sweetener (saccharin) i read an article saying that that is very bad to have when pregnant because i can cause the baby harm. I am so worried now. I have been really good at staying away from harmful things, and now i just feel horrible. Is this really true?

i am 35 weeks along, at 34 weeks was dialated to 3 (last monday exactly) I have had contractions throughout this pregnancy since i was 28 weeks or so. they have been absolutely terrible this last week-i thought of going to L&D twice but said no i'll wait it out there not consistent. but they are really bothering me what can i do walking, drinking water, resting, changing activity does not help. they come every 6-20 minutes apart but last for hours. i get both the cramping feeling and tightening feeling sometimes at same time but usually one or the other. I am afraid i'll have to deal with this pain for another 4/5 weeks and really don't think i can. any suggestions or solutions. thanks

Im a month pregnate with my 2nd child and I have been getting sharp pains and sometimes makes it hard to breathe this has been going on for the month Ive been pregnate and I have no appetite and sometimes im not myself. I know its not a miscarrage because I havent bleed at all!!! Ive never had this problem with my 1st baby!!!!

how can you tell when your cervix is open. it seems like i am ovulating but i cant really tell if my cervix is open or closed. it feels softer than normal but how do i know if it's open ot not??? thanks

im 23, and i recentley got married. im very happy with my husband, and we have a great dynamic together. he wants to start trying to have children, and i think we should wait a year or 2 till were financially and mentally ready. he agreed and didnt make a big deal. but the real reason im scared of having kids is weight. im kinda chubby as is, and ive started to work out, but i know that isnt gonna last long. and im scared that kids will make me gain weight, and not be able to lose it afterwards. its so hard for me to lose weight, and my body is always up ad down 2-3 sizes, its never stable. am i being too insecure? what can i do?

Has anyone else been only 8 weeks pregnant and already had to wear maternity clothes? If so, what did the doctor say?
I am 8 weeks and can only wear maternity clothes. My regular jeans used to fit loose and now I can not even button them. I went in last week and just saw a nurse for the prenatal interview. I go in on Thursday and am nervous.

Hi, I just found out I am pregnant with my second child...my husband and I are excited. But one question though, in order to get the most accurate EDD (estimated due date) will they take the first day of my cycle instead of doing an ultrasound? I heard of OB/GYN offices that don't do an ultrasound during the first visit and just go by LMP for the due date...I personally don't think it is as accurate as an ultrasound measurment because what if you are further along than what your LMP says OR not that far long as you have expected. I guess I am trying to say can you request a ultrasound on the first visit if it's not a part of the routine exam??

Ok I am oregnant with my second. After my first was born my stomach returned to normal, no saggy skin.
So this time round will it be the same?
What are your experiences? Did you have a saggy stomach after the first, second, more or do you still have a toned stomach?

BTW I am naturally a very thin person

Had a midwife appointment today and brought to her attention that the top of my bump , just under my ribs was hurting to touch. She made me lie on my back then lift my head up. She said I was 'coning' and not to do things strenous and to get up after lying down, by turning on my side then getting up, as it was possible I could rip my muscles apart and I wouldn't want that during labour! I'll follow her instructions but since seeing her this afternoon the pain doesn't feel like a muscle ache (I was an athlete for many years so know muscle aches/pains!) It hurts to touch and I can feel and see, a raised area under my rib area. It's not baby kicking as he kicks on the left hand side of my tum not under my ribs like the last monkey did!! Has anyone else had this? My mum said it could be my liver or intestines being pushed up. It feels like a burning sensation, almost liked someone has 'slapped' my stomach.

I am 27 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I am going to my doctor once every 4 weeks (once a month) I was just wondering when I will start to go more often like every two weeks then every week? Thanks Oh and what kind of things do they do/talk about at those appointments. I have three months left

For instance, when I am sitting and bend over to tie my shoe I get tiny sharp pains... not very painful but get my attention, in my lower abdomen... I am about 30 pds over weight from before pregnancy but have been gaining steadily since. I'm not too concerned about it becuase it's not real pain but I wonder what that could be from? Could I be putting too much pressure on my belly when I bend? Is there a time when i shouldn't bend like that anyone? There are also random times though when I get a bigger sharp pain in the right side of my pelvic area, which i believe are different from the bending pain...has anyone experienced any of this before?

I was at the drs today I am 9 days over due, he did a 3rd membrane sweep and said if nothing happens by wed I will be admitted wed night to be started on some drug that I thought begins with a c. I wil supposedly get this throughout the night and if that doesnt start things up then I wil get the pitocin thurs morning. Any idea what the first drug is? Im so scared!!!

I had my children when I was in my 20's. My sister-in-law is pregnant with her first child and she is getting ready to turn 39. It seems she is going to the doctor much more often than I had to. I want to be supportive but she seems to be milking this pregnancy thing and expecting everyone to bend over backwards for her. Is there really a difference at her age. Should she be resting all of the time? She is due Sept 7th. And she is in great physical shape. I guess I'm trying to figure out if I'm jealous because I was never treated any differently during all three of my pregnancies or if I'm just disgusted with her because she wants the world to revolve around her. What do you think?

First off, my first thing was hoping the baby was healthy. He is from what we could tell and we have a doctor appointment next week. I was absolutely 100% positive I was going to have a boy, but wanted a girl. Of course I was happy with a boy as well. We got two types of ultrasound pics. One was in 3D and the other was 2D. My hubby is still gloating as he said it was a girl and not a boy. :) Lucky guess. I still can't get over how fast the heartbeat is in a baby. How did you feel with your ultrasounds. For me the health was most important, but I couldn't wait until we found out.

Her name is Kathryn Elise and she is due Aug 2nd, but this ultrasound says Aug 9th so am now 19 weeks and 3 days by ultrasound. I am staying with Aug 2nd as that was my first ultrasound. Just wanted to hear what everyones reactions were when they found out they were having a healthy baby

She found out right away that she was pregnant--RIGHT after her last period is when she used coke- she has not used since--I just want to know if her baby is OK or if there could be problems--please no rude answers--and any links would be great. Thanks.

ok, i'm not being funny, but since we saw the baby's heartbeat on the ultrasound last week ( i was 6 weeks/4days), (the day after they took blood for the prenatal appt.)... there is a baby in there, right?, even though we didn't really see much of anything, only the heart beat flashing on the screen? because he/she is too small still? the ultrasound tech told us that the baby is still like the size of a bean, so they may not show up yet, but the heart beat was 122bpm..., just curious :)

My husband and I have been married for 10 years, and have a 7 year old son.
We wanted lots of kids 5-6-7, it didn't matter.

But, after the first child, we ran into trouble conceiving.
After 7 years, we are pregnant again, but now we want to stop at 2, due to the age difference.

Anyone else run into this?

I did strenuous exercise for 1 hr non-stop one day at the gym which I have never done before and also I started to take multivitamins containing vitamins, minerals and evening primrose oil. These are the only two things that were different rom my regular routine. please let me know if there is any possibility of getting pregnant? My partner is 100% sure that the condom didnt leak.
