No, don't waste your time trying. Just rest instead.

Been there, done that. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but your baby will come out when s/he is ready to. Plus, 35-weeks isn't quite full-term yet...you want your baby to stay in there as long as possible so she can develop her lungs. You don't want your child born with problems that make her stay in the NICU.
The dilation doesn't mean much if you aren't effaced as well. Case in point--I was dilated at 3 for a month. It was my second pregnancy and I still went past the due date by a week. I tried walking, spicy food, sex...all the things that people said to but it didn't work.
So relax--enjoy the time while you still have time to do things for yourself. Take it easy and save your energy. You will need it for when the baby comes.

You really don't want to do that. The longer the baby is in your womb, the better off your baby will be. He wil have stronger lungs, more fat on his body, and will be generally better developed and ready for the world. Let nature take its course... now in a couple of weeks if you still haven't had the baby, then you can walk a bunch, have sex, or do anything else active that might help induce labor. Good luck on a healthy baby.

Walking and sex. You really need to wait a few more weeks as having the baby born at this stage could mean lung problems. I've had my labor stopped this far along due to that very possibility.
I know it's getting hard to wait and you want it over with, but the baby is soooo much easier to take care of right where it is!

No, absolutley nothing. I have been dilated to 2 since I was 34 weeks and effaced 50 %.with my 4th baby. At 37 weeks, I began walking alot, and whatever else I could do to try and speed things up. Nothing has helped. Im not going to be 39 weeks. Although my 3rd son was born at 34 weeks and completely healthy, its stillnot safe to try to induce at 35 weeks because not all babies are ready at that time. I know its frustrating and you are probably miserable, but just try and be patient.

Boy oh boy, do I know what you're feeling. Last time I was pregnant I was in your exact situation and wanted my baby to come thinking that 35 weeks would be safe. As luck would or wouldn't have it, my water broke on its own. I was so excited but when he actually came, he still had breathing problems and had to be in the NICU for a week and then was sent home. As a condition for him to go home, he was attached to an apnea monitor for the first 3 months home. I am pregnant again and as antsy as I am at 32 weeks, I know I am preying that I don't go early again because that was a scary situation to be in.

Walking is probably the most common. Don't get too excited, you can be dilated to 1 for the rest of your pregnancy and then need to be induced. I was dilated to 3 for 4 weeks and had to be induced with both my pregnancies.

Baby isn't fully developed at 35 weeks yet. Just be patient and wait until nature takes it's course.
And the dilation doesn't mean anything now - you could be like this for weeks....

A full-term pregnancy typically runs 40 weeks. Try to relax. You can walk around dilated at 1 cm for weeks. The baby will come when he/she is ready. You should be seeing your dr. weekly soon enough for updates on your progress.

no, my sister was dialted to 1 for about 6 weeks and ended up needing to be induced with baby number 2.
I am currently 35 weeks as well, as of last week i was 3 cm dilated and still no baby but terrible contractions everyday for hours. if i were you i would want my baby to stay in there for at least 2 more weeks, you don't want to deal with unneccessary problems. my 1st was born at 37 weeks and was fully developed but got RSV alot and had to give her breathing treatments for awhile-no fun.
