For instance, when I am sitting and bend over to tie my shoe I get tiny sharp pains... not very painful but get my attention, in my lower abdomen... I am about 30 pds over weight from before pregnancy but have been gaining steadily since. I'm not too concerned about it becuase it's not real pain but I wonder what that could be from? Could I be putting too much pressure on my belly when I bend? Is there a time when i shouldn't bend like that anyone? There are also random times though when I get a bigger sharp pain in the right side of my pelvic area, which i believe are different from the bending pain...has anyone experienced any of this before?

CONGRATS ON YOUR PREGNANCY

Its called round ligament pain. this is perfectly normal. it is from your belly expanding and the round ligaments are also expanding. There is nothing wrong with bending over.

Most of the time it hits us when we are not active for long periods of time (like sleeping and hitting that mad dash to the bathroom) Or even if we stand up too quickly from a sitting position. Just a reminder that we need to slow down just a little bit.

RLP can be a null dull pain that last a few minutes to those sharp pains that dont last longer then 2 minutes normally.

I get them at least a few times a day

A man went to his doctor and said 'doc, it hurts when i do this.' The doctor said 'stop doing that.' Simple but effective.
