my period is usually on time and it always starts in the middle of the night, this time it hasn't. it should have started on the 17/18. i know its real early to be asking this question but because i am so regular, i am. my breasts have been tender for the last week and i dont usually have pms symptoms other than cramps a day before im due on. i have been getting medium type cramps on and off since the 16th but no sign of my period. has any body been in this situation before and what has been the result?

didn't they just come from warm liquid in our bellies? i saw a home birth where they put the infant in a basin of warm water, the newborn laid there peacefully and seemed so content. i would think hospitals should accomodate this if parents want to do this!?

The scan I've had says the baby's heart is strong and everything seems fine but long term I wanted to know what the risks are of miscarriage. I have been told to rest.

does anyone believe in the wedding ring and piece of cotton to predict a babys sex. i have just done it and it is going round and round which is meant to mean i am having a girl. has anyone else done this and did it predict right?

What cravings did you have? I think it's funny to see what cravings women have or have had during their pregnancies. Also, was there any correlation between the cravings and the sex of your baby? I have been told cravings for sweets = girl, cravings for spicy / salty = boy. What are your experiences?

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I sorta feel like this pregnancy has been surreal for me. I'm aware that my body is changing, that I'm getting kicked left and right, that I cannot sleep at night, that my hands go numb from time to time.. but I'm afraid that when she comes, I wont feel like she's mine.
I know this will sound so very strange and morbid but, even though i've carried her and everything is ok, I never expected her to come. Does that make sense. I thought that something terrible would happen and I would lose her. Just a fear of mine I guess but I just cant picture myself holding a baby that is mine and I have a tendency to expect the worse so I wont get hurt. I've had a miscarriage before so maybe that's why. Is there a such thing as prepardom depression? I'm just not sure if these feelings are normal.
I should add that I'm terrified of labor and of hospitals ( from childhood) and I'm terrifed that she wont cry as soon as she comes out. Like you see on those baby shows.

Ok, so, the doctors all count from the first day of your last period, right? But they say, in fact, I couldn't have gotten prego before 2/15? So, they are counting that i would be 7 weeks today and i am due Nov. 5, 07 (counting from my last period). Is that accurate? I mean, we saw the heartbeat from the baby last week, so i must have been at least 6 weeks when we saw that. I don't know, i'm just confused on how they count it all out and how it makes sense, because by my count, if i got pregnant on 2/15, then i am only a month and four days prego, not actually 7 weeks as they say in the doctor's office. Don't know, help me out... :)

I am going to the doc this afternoon, but I wanted opinions first. I am 26 weeks with kid number 2. I have been having braxton hicks contractions (the non painful kind) since week 17 or so. They weren't painful at all, just tightening of the uterus. Then last week, I had one painful one. Then on Saturday, I had 4 really bad ones. They were about 30 seconds long and were about 3 minutes apart. For those who've had kids, they were about a 4 on the pain scale. Enough that if I were really in labor, I would be asking for my epidural. Then they went away. I've read that these painful ones don't normally occur till the 8th month or so.
I have no bleeding or anything. But I also read that if they hurt, to call the doc. Since it was late Saturday night and I am seeing the doc today anyway, I decided to just wait. Things have been normal since.
Any opinions?

we had sex about 2 days ago and when we were done he noticed that the condom was broken..he went to the bathroom and said that most of it came out when he went pee and i went to the bathroom after that to because i didnt know what else to do..so i have been very very worried and scared the past few days..do i have a high chance of being pregnant?

I am 18 weeks pregnant, I have my Dr. appt soon...but I am worried that I am eating alot, & hardly gaining weight...but my tummy is growing big, clothes getting tighter...I think I am eating alot junk than healthy...but if I try to stop junk food, I will start losing weight, which I think is not safe.

I went to the ER last night and they did blood work and a Sonogram, the said the HCG levels were good and the sonogram was consistent with the 6 weeks mark, however there was no Heartbeat...The ER Dr. said that this could be normal due to that I am only 6 weeks. Anyone else not have a heartbeat at this stage of the game????

How many of you MEN can actually say you have Turned on women and know how to use your hands right? And this is a question that I found out a few nights ago.

How many men on here know or have taken the "Mens Pill?" Do you know what that is?
I will tell you, I heard in the newspaper/Internet that men can take "the pill" now and not get a woman pregnant, Now question is how many of YOU have taken it yet or would take it to not get your girl knocked up?

Ok, this may seem out there, but I was doing research about fetus development at week 22 & I see that the baby can respond to light...like flashing a flashlight at my tummy.
Has anyone done that?
If so, does the baby kick?
It's just a bizarre thought to me!

my period usually comes around the 17th-the 23rd or 24th, but sometimes its late, because im still iregular[not too bad, just a few days, 2-3], well i had sex with my boyfriend a few times, but i've always stopped so he never came in me or anything [no condom] but i kno theres precum so i'm all paranoid. i know it was immature &stupid of me so don't lecture me please. but anyways, i haven't gotten my period yet [but there was only 28 days in february, obviously] so will it come later? cause it usually comes around the 17th, but it hasn't came yet. &it hasn't been like 28-30 days yet soo should i just wait til like the 25th and if i haven't gotten it yet, than go to the doctor or tak ea test. please help :/

Wow, my baby is very responsive to music! Anyway, it felt like very intense butterflies, and I was very excited, but I got to admit, it made me feel a little queezy - does it just take a little while to get used to the new feeling? Or is it going to keep making me queezy?
