Pregnancy - March 2007

I am at 24 weeks, my OBGYN said I should be walking 40 minutes a day on a treadmill or getting 40 minutes exercise a day. Who is seriously doing this and how can you keep that mindset to do it daily? I'm starting to feel guilty about not being able to do this. Maybe I do some sort of exercise 3-4 times a week, but who does this daily??? Help.

I know the only way to know for sure is to test but I'm not able to go to the store just yet so I want to know if this sounds like the flu/morning sickness that you get in early pregnancy or if it sounds like the stomach flu/cold. I have had a very bad cough for about 3 days, sore throat, headache, tired, & sneezing. Last night I took a lot of nyquil to see if I could quit feeling bad long enough to fall asleep and I woke up this morning with some mild cramps & I went to the bathroom & threw up the nyquil. I went back to bed after that and my stomach feels fine now. Did I just take too much nyquil or something? Does this sound like pregnancy/morning sickness or stomach flu/regular flu?

I know that this is going to sound funny, but have any one expiries Vulvar swelling. I went to ER Saturday night with the feeling that some one had kicked my as hard as they could in my groin area. It stared on friday and got a lot worries as the day went by. The ER doc. gave me a scrip for a prenatal cradle and told me that the only way that this is going a way is when the baby is born. Because He is putting presser on the muscles and ligaments and that's causing that swelling.

Due on April 8th. I'm so anxious and can't wait to meet my baby. My husband and I are ready for her to come. Just waiting patiently, at least he is patient. Me, not so much. I have a feeling it will be awhile though. She is head down but hasn't dropped yet. This kind of worries me because I'm so ready for her to be here. Any advice from expecting or new parents.

... To keep my wedding bands close to me, or how to take some of the swelling down. I want to wear my wedding band and engagement ring, but they just fit too snug. I'm afraid that I may not be able to get them off if I put them on my fingers.

Not being able to wear them is really upsetting to me, though.

Any suggestions on how I can display them, other than on my fingers?

Well i went to the E.R for some bleeding, they said i was or am indeed pregnant, but that im probably having a period that will just wash it out, she said that i would bleed for as long as a reg. period which for me is 5-7 days, but i stopped bleeding at 3 days and they never said they were for sure i was losing the baby. I am only gunna be 4 weeks so they couldnt see anything on the ultrasound. So do you think i might still be?

Their for a while I had severe menstrual problems, I didn't have a period for 1 1/2 years being only 20 years old. I had everything checked out bunches of blood tests and all the perfect " so my doctor said." She gave me a progesterone challenge 10mg for 7 days to see if it would induce a period and it worked, well she suggested i start taking a natural progesterone cream for 10 days starting the 15th day of my cycle, well day 3 of taking the cream i started my period again, that cycle was 27 days long..Well i thought i found a solution but i was suppose to start my period a week ago and it never came. My husband and i have had unprotected sex quite a bit throughout that cycle but i don't really suspect pregnancy because i do not have any symptoms at all, breast are a tiny bit tender but that it is, usually i don't even get soar bb's befor my period..Anybody ever experienced this and found the problem???What do you think it could be, just your opinion..thanks so much guys!

I am 36 weeks pregnant...went to doctor and they said that my cervix is nice and soft and only about 1.5 cm long. She said she could get a finger in there if she really wanted too...but saw no point bc my contraction were not long enough on the monitor. Baby has dropped over the past week. She and the other doctors say about two weeks, that they think a 38 weeker!!!

What does that mean?? How can she tell that, if I am not even dilated!!!

I am walking about an hour a day, and I move a lot during the day. My hubby and I are having sex pretty much every other day!!! I am ready to this guy out of me!!!

What do you think?? Are they just guessing or do they really know??? Thanks!!!

I am pregnant, and last week had a 3D ultrasound at 11 weeks along. I swear I see two little round circles on the groin area of the baby. My husband cant really tell, he thinks it is just shadows or the way the light hits. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if so what was the sex of the baby? I wont get another ultrasound til around 18 weeks and I am just kind of curious. A friend says it looks like two tiny balls. I know that 3 lines mean a girl, but these are circles. And so faint you really have to strain to see it. Purely out of curiosity, does anyone have a clue what, if anything, this might mean? They weren't obvious as i got the ultrasound, just if you study the photo that i took home.

I know that sex during pregnancy is said to be safe as long as you dont have a high risk pregnancy but with my first baby I bled loads after sex and ended up going to hospital, everything was fine but I just wondered if it will be the same this time. It was really scary and this time I keep getting this horrible pain in my tummy for ages after and its making kinda dread sex. Could anything be wrong? Is this something I should mention to my midwife? (Im not seeing her again untill April 18th) or should I go to my doctor about it?

Are there any adverse effects from using Tums for heartburn during pregnancy. I try not to exceed the daily dose, but there are days I do take the max, depending on my heartburn.

Does anyone know any adverse effects that have been caused from Tums?
I know the plus side of it is that they are loaded with extra calcium.
