Could i still be pregnant?

Question

Well i went to the E.R for some bleeding, they said i was or am indeed pregnant, but that im probably having a period that will just wash it out, she said that i would bleed for as long as a reg. period which for me is 5-7 days, but i stopped bleeding at 3 days and they never said they were for sure i was losing the baby. I am only gunna be 4 weeks so they couldnt see anything on the ultrasound. So do you think i might still be?

Oh and they said something about if u are a 5 or below on the blood test you are not pregnant....but im at a 10 what does that mean?

ok so i got my results from fridays blood test , before the e.r incident and i was at a 19 on my pregnancy test there, i dont know if both are the same, or if they read differnet. Because the E.R said anything below a 5 is not pregnant and im a 10, but the docs office said anything below a 10 is not pregnant and i was at a 19 so whats up has anyone had this?

10 would indicate very early pregnancy, but hcg doesn't leave your system immediately after a miscarriage. (BTW, I've had 4 confirmed mcs.) Ask for a repeat blood test where they show the level of hcg. If it has gone up significantly, that says that you are likely still pregnant. If questions remain, you can generally get an ultrasound after 6 weeks to look for a heartbeat.

It sounds like you are pregnant but if I was you I would want another opinion on this . I would go to your regular ob/gyn and have them figure what is going on. I hear many women still get a couple periods when they find out that are pregnant. Also I would make them do blood work to see if your hcg is raising if so then I would say that you are pregnant for sure and everything should be ok.. I will pray for you and your little one...Hugs

At this point, you need to call your ob/gyn, tell them about the hospital incident and ask for a 48 hr hcg study. This will let them know if there is indeed a pregnancy (I'll cross my fingers for ya). If your numbers double, that's an excellent sign (pregnant). If they don't or decrease, that's a sign of miscarriage. Best of luck to you hun!

Sounds like a miscarriage to me. I would ask your doctor to give you another blood test and see what happens to your hcg levels. If they fo up great, maybe everything is fine, but they start going down from 10, then it mostlikely is a miscarriage. I have been there twice, I know what you are going through

You need to go to your doctor because something is going on and you need some answers. Yes you could be pregnant and just having a period, but I would trust my obgyn over an er doctor any day of the week.

i'm thinking that you're just barely pregnant and your body still needs to get rid of some junk. congrats on the baby! i would just say that you should go for a check up and get a blood test done to make sure either way.

you could still be pregnant, you may have been pregnant with twins and lost one (happens alot) your best bet would be to go to your doctor and explain this, of course they will do another pregnancy test and you need a vaginal ultrasound that is the only way you can see the baby this early, I wish you luck.

it sounds like your still pregnant, thats how i knew with all 3 of my kids. i would start and it would only last 3 days instead of 7. go take a pregnancy test.
