The first ultrasound i had was normal, the heart was good, my HCG level was good, the baby was great. On march 9th i had my second ultrasound which the doctor didnt find a heartbeat. they couldnt see the fluttering. so im being told that im having a miscarriage. If i am having a miscarriage, how long does it take for the symptoms to go away? Its been over two weeks since i was told that my baby has no heartbeat and my breast still hurt especially my nipples, i still have nausea, and im still sleepy during the day. My breast still has the blue veins on it. i dont have any blood or cramping. is this normal, if im going to have a miscarriage?

I will be induced on Friday morning at which time the baby will be a week and a half late. I do have an appointment on Wed where I can get my membranes stripped. And if that doesn't work, I have thought of trying the castor oil route on Thursday. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Should I skip the membrane stripping? ... or do that and skip the castor oil? ... do both? neither?
And, yes, I am doing the walking, the sex, and the spicy food.

Hi,
I'm 5 weeks 4 days pregnant with my 3rd pregnancy. My first pregnancy the baby had no HB @ my 11 week ultrasound, my second I bleed with large clots from a subchrionic hematoma until into my 2nd trimester. I have been living in fear of going to the bathroom & finding blood especially since i have'nt had any pregnancy symptoms with this pregnancy. And today my fear came true! I had 3 spots of brown blood, which i know brown blood is old blodd, but still. Now im a nervous wreck and I called my Dr. but you have to go through the nurse first and they are kind of like...whatever. They said i could come in for a blood test today and wendsday to check my hcg levels....but that still isnt settling my mind. has anyone else spotted and been fine? Has anyone had no symptoms at all and been fine? Thanks, im really nervous right now....I dont want to go through this again.....

I will be starting 40 weeks tomorrow. March 20 is my due date and I also will have my Dr. appt. Last Thursday was my 39 week appt, and the Dr. checked my cervix and said I was 70% effaced and around 1 cm dialated only. The baby's head was stationed at -2 she said. Based on that, she said as this is my first baby, that I may go over due date by a week. I have been 1 cm and 70% effaced since my week 35, No new changes. Given this, how soon could I go into labor you think? Tomorrow actually my Dr. is scheduling me for induction on a day of the following week. Do you think I will have contractions on my own or my water will break before that induction? Just wondering as Dr. has done nothing uptil now and I guess after tomorrow my due date, they would decide what else to do right?

of all the problems i have had in the past and with this pregnancy, i have an incompitant cervix which caused me to have my son who is now 18 months old and doing great at 30 weeks. i am 24 weeks now and i have a cerclage or stitch in my cervix on Friday when i went the ultrasound showed funneling again, which is what i did with my first pregnancy it just is the opening of the birth canal too soon, its not all the way open just starting obviously. anyway this is the exact same time that i started all this with my son and had to go on bed rest in the hospital for two months. i am just wondering how good are my chances of not haveing to go on bed rest because i have the cerclage, the Dr. said we arent in dangerous territory YET! he is doing another ultrasound in two weeks to double check. anyone kind of understand what i am saying and what advice would you give me???

Hi there,
I am 28 weeks along and for the past few days i have had this weird sort of pressure down towards my pubic bone. I know things are moving around and I've had trouble with my hips and such - but this is like an achy pressure whenever i stand for more than 5 minutes. It's relieved when I sit or lay - but I'm wondering if i should be concerned or if this is normal. Thanks.

Maternity Pads - 1 pack
Nipple pads
2 baby sleep suits
5 newborn nappies (diapers)
1 baby coming home outfit
nightie
dressing gown
Slippers
3 pairs old knickers for me
scrunchie for hair
Toiletries (tooth brush, make up, deodarant etc)
Camera
Car seat

Im sure Ive missed something so any help or suggestions would be good

i realy thought i was pregnant i had bloated stomach, tingly brests, frecuently running to the washroom, feeling noshious and more and then yesterday i started my period and it is the same as it always is, note i ushualy dont feel like that b4 i start my period. so i have a pregnancy test should i take it or wait

I am 31 & a half weeks pregnant (due 27th May 2007) with my first baby & the scan lady is 80% mine is a little boy. I am getting extremely tired & have chosen to work up until 2 weeks before my due date & seriously regretting that now. Also starting to have trouble sleeping! im a little over 8 months pregnant & last night about 3 hrs after having sex i had HORRIBLE contractions fr. 11-1am they were every 3 minutes & wrapped around my front 2 my back i tried walking, sitting, everything 2 get them 2 subside maybe. ive been pregnant before & i figured if this IS labor ill do most of it @ home so i found a position on my bed where i could tolerate the pain, finally around 1 i woke up my husband told him im getting in the shower & that if i dont feel better we have 2 go. i jumped in (still feeling them) laid back down in bed & counted them. i have not slept in 2 days (due to my son being sick with a virus) so even though it hurt i was able 2 fall asleep. i woke up this morning & i now have the braxton hicks (i could tell because theyre not going around my back & still painful but alot less painful) & they are every 10-20 mins now & this is since 7am. my ? is was last nights contractions braxton hicks even though they were perfectly timed and VERY painful?

I was 32 weeks last week and when they measured she said I was measuring 35 my last baby was born at 38 weeks and he weighed 9lbs 2oz and it was not a very good experience and now I'm scared to death that this one will be just as large if not larger I wont be getting an ultrasound for 2 weeks and I feel alot of pressure in my vagina like I did with the last one do you think he'll be large or is it possible for him to be smaller or do they just keep getting bigger sorry just very worried.

my husband and i have been planning our pregnancy for a couples months now and i think it finally happened. i took 3 test and all are positive but its only about 2 wks into the pregnancy. im suppose to get my period tomorrow and im have light spotting today and the color is kind of dark, and i have been having light cramping for a few days. is this normal?

ok i have an 81/2 month old son and i would like to hae another child.i would like my kids to be around 2 years apart. my husband wants to wait till our son is like anywhere from 3-5 years of age. i love my kids ever since my son, kids are my life and its so hard because its what i want more than anything in the world. its even harder because ALL my girlfriends are pregnant. even my friend who just had a baby in september is almost 2 months pregnant again so i have no one to turn to. and every time i see them i get depressed cause half of them didnt even want to be pregnant and i do and our financial situation is good. what do i do and how do i change my mind so i dont go insane waiting all these years or a while to go???

I have had this taste for 6 days and it is getting stronger. I don't expect AF for another 5 days and think that the metallic taste may be an early sign that I am pregnant.

and i really need advice on this, i have custody of my son even though it is not court ordered that way we just decided he was better off living with me, plus i let his father see him anytime he wants to, he pays child support, that is through court, and he is a good dad, anyway i am 24 weeks pregnant and was tired so he took him for a few hours (he's 18 months old) when i woke up i decided i needed to go get him for dinner, when i got there, i could hear my son crying and i looked a abby (a friend of his girlfriend) and asked what was wrong with him, she said oh his dad went in the room and shut the door, so i just walked over and opened it (its usually not shut) and there he and two of his other friends were smoking pot and he was the one holding the bong. i grabbed my son and walked out instantly mad! he called and couldnt understand what i was so mad about. if this happen to you what would you do, i already told him he;s not allowed to take him alone, was that ok to say??

I had a show on friday, and i've had heavy discharge since, but this afternoon, the discharge is yellow in colour and stained with blood. I am 41 wks with my 3rd baby and i've never had this before.

I know that a little cramping is normal. I remember minimal cramping my first pregnancy, but this seems more persistant. I have no bleeding. It is ongoing and never painful. Did you have this much cramping?
