1st of all, may i advise you not to waste money on expensive maternity pads, but instead buy regular ones for "night-time/heavy" use? its just that you'll need LOTS at 1st!! so pack 3 packs instead of one!
3 baby vests to go under sleepsuits. maybe another sleepsuit. if the poo/pee squidges out from the nappy, as it can sometimes, then best to have too many clothes than not enough. and they sometimes bring up a feed, so i'd have 4 of everything for the baby.
by nipple pads, do you mean the sort that fit inside your maternity bars? btw, you should buy 3/4 maternlty bras! its cheaper (i've had 3 kiddies)& more comfy to buy terry towelling nappies and cut them up to put in your bra, and they dont rustle annoyingly when you're feeding or moving around!
go to mothercare and ask for fitting for feeding bras if you're going to breastfeed, which i highly recommend!! its SO easy to go out with a breastfed baby, rather than haul a bag of bottles around with you. also its right temperature all the time, and you never run out at awkward moments! (wont list benefits for baby as i'm sure we all know how fab it is for them!!)
if going to bottle feed, however, then do not let the over eager breastfeeders make you feel guilty etc, its your choice. personally, apart from how fab it is for baby blah blah, its more convenient, and the daddy can do lots of other thinsg to bond, especially baby massage, nappies, bathing, drinks of water etc etc. a friend of mine bottle fed and her hubby shared night feeds but then had to work too and got very grumpy! so weigh up all options!
take 10 nappies or ask hospital if they supply them for you- usually you'll ned your own supply. if need more, can ask hubby/friends etc to bring in for you.
some people find disposable pants very useful for 1st few days rather than use own pants. maybe 2 nighties incase spill something/get sick on? depends on how long you staying in for. can always get extras shipped in if necessary, best to take minimal amount.
VERY IMPORTANT.. hospitals dont feed you very well, and i've always been ravenous after giving birth, so take in small bag of easily digestable and filling snacks and drinks for after the birth!
oh, and address book for making lots of calls!!
good luck!! very envious, love being pregnant and birthing!!!! ;)

It doesn't look like you've missed much, if anything. But I'll let you in on a little secret: The hospital will have pads for you to use so use theirs and save yours for home. The hospital will have newborn diapers so use theirs and save yours for home. They also tell you to take everything in the room home with you so do just that - take any remainder pads and diapers and bring them home.
They also put baby in a onesie type shirt and wrap baby up so for the most part - baby is all set. Since they are often in and out poking and prodding baby with blood tests and all, they sometimes ask you not to put an outfit on baby. The coming home outfit is a MUST though!! :o)
Bring yourself a pair of socks too.
Bring a radio if you want.
Bring your own pillows (for you and hubby)
Last, but not least, bring something for daddy!! He'll need some snacks and drinks. A few magazines (some for you too) or something to read. A toothbrush and toiletries for him to freshen up too. Have him bring an extra shirt - my husband was sweating from nerves and it does get hot in there with all the folks so he wanted something to change into.
I can't think of anything else. Sounds like you got a really good head start!!
Good luck with baby and a happy delivery to you!

Anything to keep you occupied during labor if anything would help you and something to keep your husband entertained during labor ( there wasn't a lot my husband could do, I had an epidural and I wasn't in any pain so I didn't need coaching). For after the baby is born I had a puzzle book because baby sleeps A LOT the first few days and I couldn't sleep that much I was too used to having my toddler and needing to be awake for a long time during the day. You won't need diapers or wipes, the hospital provides those and will allow you to take the extras. Other than that is sounds like you have it together.

Sounds like you've got it all. You could take the baby's book if you want, but I didn't really have the time or energy to do anything with it. You really don't need the maternity pads, breast bads, or diapers. Most hospitals give you those to use at the hospital and then some to take home. Good Luck!

Make sure you pack a loose outfit for yourself to come home in with some comfortable shoes and socks. Some hard candies, bottle of water, a cd player or something to entertain you while you wait for baby..lol. If someone is staying with you while you are at the hospital.. have them pack a small bag also. Good luck and Congrats!! I will be 35wks tomorrow!

You wont need diapers or 2 baby sleepers... the baby uses the hospital while he/she is their....
You wont need that many pairs of sneakers... just one to wear home...
You will need blankets, lip balm, and something to do. Also a list of phone numbers and people to call, as they generally dont allow cell phones to be on in the hospital.
Good luck and congrats!

Sounds good to me....anything that will make you more comfortable is good.
My first child I didn't know I could wear my own clothes while I was there, so I was so uncomfortable in a hospital gown for 2 days. I learned better the next time around.

Hi,
Don't forget your favorite pillow. When I was in the hospital I missed (so much) my pillow from home! Also take some snacks that you like. The hospital's food is not always the best in my experience.
