Hi,
I'm 5 weeks 4 days pregnant with my 3rd pregnancy. My first pregnancy the baby had no HB @ my 11 week ultrasound, my second I bleed with large clots from a subchrionic hematoma until into my 2nd trimester. I have been living in fear of going to the bathroom & finding blood especially since i have'nt had any pregnancy symptoms with this pregnancy. And today my fear came true! I had 3 spots of brown blood, which i know brown blood is old blodd, but still. Now im a nervous wreck and I called my Dr. but you have to go through the nurse first and they are kind of like...whatever. They said i could come in for a blood test today and wendsday to check my hcg levels....but that still isnt settling my mind. has anyone else spotted and been fine? Has anyone had no symptoms at all and been fine? Thanks, im really nervous right now....I dont want to go through this again.....

Breathe!!!

Ok i know its hard. i am a miscarriage survivor and i have been through your situation a few times. if your OB has not placed you in a high risk catagory by now... time to find another OB.

If you are concerned like i know you are. GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. tell them you are pregnant and you are bleeding (dont tell them the color unless they ask) this will prompt them to do a ultrasound and blood levels RIGHT THEN and there (they have to).

Dont panic. i know thats the hardest part but try not to. You should be going to the OB every 2 weeks because of your history. Also talk to your NEW OB about placing you on Progesterone. Its not the Birthcontrol it is a vaginal suppository that is a hormone your baby needs. The placenta takes over and makes it at 13 weeks but until then, this can help your baby along.

If she does not want to try everything she can to help you keep this lovie bundle... find another OB who will

You really need to relax. Brown blood is old blood and many women do spot early in pregnancy. As long as the blood isn't bright red, or you have cramping or pass large clots, you should be alright.

with my last pregnancy I started bleeding alot from 5 weeks til about 18 weeks due to placenta previa but like you I freaked out it's understandable I thought I lost my baby but everything turned out alright he's 2 now I also bled with the pregnancy before that and it ended up being a loss of a twin but I still went on and delivered a baby girl.Good luck and best wishes.
