My Bf is 36 and we've been together for 2 years.....we both decided we wanted to have a baby last year and i took out my IUD in Oct. i found out i was pregnant March 1st...I am currently 7 weeks....He wants me to have an abortion....and I dont want one....He has already broken up with me cause i wont honor his choice...i told him he can sign over his rights, but he is now being cruel and saying things like i wont leave you to raise my kid...or i'll take the baby away .....and makes comments about my 7 year old cause he has ADHD....my heart is torn apart...I don't know what cause the sudden change, but he's staying out late every night, he's constantly angry about something....and he's saying mean things...I'm just happy we don't live together right now....anyways i was a single mom w my son, and i'll do it again....but this time it really hurts deep, i thought i was going to spend the rest of my life with him...does anyone have any advice as to what may be going on with him. Thank y

How is it possible to get pregnant on the pill? I mean, people wouldn't take them if they didn't work, right?

Wondering if you can help I am 30 weeks & 1 day pregnant with my first baby, a little boy & i was watching a documentry on childbirth. Now here is my questions, when the baby is born the cord is cut immediatelty & the baby is taken away for his checks, well this program stated that the blood in the ambilical cord is very good for the new born & it is best to wait for the cord to stop pulsating (which i believe takes 10 or so minutes?) so all the good blood can pass to the baby before clamping & cutting it? Is this true, is it best to wait? Surely if this was the case it would be done as standard practice?

This may sound a little silly but does anbody know if you can ask for a C-section purely on the grounds of being afraid of the pain???
The experience i went through we i gave birth to my son naturally was just the most excruciating pain i have ever been through. I had a very traumatic birth and the only pain relief i recieved was paracetemol ( which i prompty threw back at the nurse through my screams for stronger drugs)
This experience has completely put me off ever having kids again which i think is a real shame because i would love for my son to have a brother or sister in the future.
I would consider having another child but only if i dont have to go through the horrendous pain of childbirth again!!
I was told that i would forget the pain almost straight away but the truth is i remember it like it was yesterday!!
any sggestions would be much appreciated

i will be having a planned c-section and also being sterilised at the same time in july. i was asleep for my first section and awake for my second ,both sections were due to complications in pregnancy and also my size (very petite, 4ft 10inch).. my second was a spinal block, this was a really bad experience for me due to being able to feel a lot of pain (not just tugging & pulling), the operation had to keep being stopped (around 4-5 times) so i could be topped up with more anethsetic... i am really scared of this happening again and would like to know if anyone could tell me if i have the choice to be asleep this time? i am seeing the consultant in april to talk about being sterilised and arrange my delivery date etc..and would like to ask him about it but dont want to sound like baby... can anyone give any advise? thankyou

hi everyone im going into work today and it will be the first day back since finding out about being pregnant again

im very nervous as the last time i was pregnant my employer was less then helpful and willing to be lenient

my work is manual and includes standing for long periods and some heavy lifting which i am very nervous about especially since i have already suffered a misscarridge im just wondering how to go about it at work if they insist on doing nothing to ease my job for me

i know that they have to do a risk assesment for me but last time the hr woman told me she will not do one till i was 4 months pregnant which of course we all know is a load of old bull they did insist they i was still to do the lifting etc and still do shift work even though i felt so knackered any advice will be greatly received as last time i got so upset and was ringing my partner crying and this time will be even worse as ive already have lost one baby thanks in advance

i had an ice-cream from a shop that i have been going for ages. but now that i am pregnant, i didn't realize before, if its good or not for me. my husband reassured me that its powder and milk or else i would have had to pay much more for the ice-cream. should i be worried? did you have ice-cream when you was pregnant? Also if the ice-cream had to have salmonella from raw eggs, i guess by now i would have had symptoms.
Also when i had the ice-cream the baby started moving. can someone tell me why?
thanks for all your answers.

There was an article on tv this morning about a woman who discovered she was pregnant not long before delivering. I have had two children, and while I can appreciate everyone is different, I knew both times I was pregnant due to the physical changes I was experiencing. Is possible to have NO changes to your body AT ALL. This being the reason why so many woman claim they didn't know they were pregnant till delivering?

I know it's normal to worry about my child and every mom to be does it but it's been about an hour 20 minutes and I haven't felt him move... if it hits two hours I am going to call my doctor... I am 36 weeks... I'm just wondering from other's experiences if it's normal to experience a decrease in late pregnancy or for periods during the day... I do feel pressure in my pelvic area off and on but that is about it... I don't know whether to count the pressure as his movement or not... wish me luck & any advice or personal experience stories would be MUCH appreciated. Thank you from a worried mother&father-to-be

I am not pregnant but you can develop some pregnancy symptoms even though you are not pregnant. For the past 3 mornings my stomach has been hurting/stomach aches. They last up to half an hour and they are only in the mornings. If it is not morning sickness, what else could it be?

Can I get one of the heartbeat things from walmart and be able to hear it? I know that people have said that you cant hear much with it unless you are farther along, but seeing as I lost twins in my first pregnancy I would like to keep an eye on this baby between dr appts. With my daughter I got to go to the dr alot because of this, but the dr does not seem so worried this time becaus I have had a healthy pregnancy and birth.

Do you think that "bebe sounds" thing would work for me?
