I am 9 days away from my due date and this is only the 2nd time I have heard of this and that's been within the last week.Pregnant women have been eating ice cream for what seems like forever.Haven't you ever heard of the pregnant woman's pickle ice cream diet?I think as your pregnancy progresses you will be less likely to worry about every little thing.Well that's how I've been with mine.I guess it's good to be a little paranoid about the health of your baby but I really doubt ice cream will hurt your baby.Ice cream is full of calcium which is good for you.I know I've eaten a lot of ot throughout my pregnancy(am now 9 days away from due date)I don't like milk so this is how I've been supplying my baby.Ask your doctor.Go with your instinct if your that worried about it.You will be missing out on one of the great joys of pregnancy though!LOL!!Congratulations to you!I wish you a happy and very healthy pregnancy!!

It was probably just a coincedence that it moved after u ate the icecream, though later on in pregnancy very cold ice water can actually make the baby move. As it can feel the coldness in ur stomach.
You are advised to not eat Mr whippy, McFlurry ice creams, u know the soft whippy ones when u are pregnant. This is because u dont know how often the machines are cleaned out and u can get food poisoning or salmonella from it.
Please dont worry, what is done is done and u would probably know about it by now.

You are your baby's first line of defense against infection. Even if the ice cream had been tainted (which it probably was not), the acids in your stomach would have taken care of a lot of the bacteria, and your own white blood cells apparently cleaned up the rest, as they are designed to do. Most illness from food poisoning occurs within about four hours of ingesting the food in question; since it's been this long and you're fine, I'd say you have nothing to worry about.
As to the baby moving - eating in general seems to make some babies start moving. Whether it's the motion of the stomach and intestines, or whether it's the sounds, or something else entirely, it certainly works with some babies.

I had Ice cream when I was pregnant:). I also(at my doctor's encouragement) made a drink in the mornings using raw eggs, milk and orange juice (my daughter just turned 28 by the way, so things went ok in my case.) It's normal to worry when you are expecting. It sounds like things are going well for you too.

I ate ice cream all through both my pregnancies. I was unaware ice cream had raw eggs? I'm pretty sure it doesn't.
The baby probably started moving because of all the sugar or the cold in your belly.

they say soft serve is the one u keep away from and thats cos it could contain listeria, i ate ice cream heaps when ive been pregnant, i even ate mayo reguarly , and that contains real egg, i didnt know until it was too late, everyone i know eats what they want when preg, its rare to get these bacterias anyway, its just a precaution, dont worry too much, good luck and the baby would have moved cos u ate something cold and sweet which stimulates the baby

There are no eggs in ice cream. It's frozen milk and sugar and flavor.
