How is it possible to get pregnant on the pill? I mean, people wouldn't take them if they didn't work, right?

The pill is not 100% effective. The only way for it to be effective to it's full amount which is 96% or 98%, I can't remember, is if it is taken at the exact same time every day and no missed pills whatsoever. It also depends on how long the person has been taking it. A girl who has taken it for 5 years is less likely to get pregnant than a girl who has only taken it a month if pills are missed. I know of a few people who have gotten pregnant while on some method of birth control.

There is NO 100% prevention!
But the pill is UNlikely to allow it..if you take daily dose and miss one dose -it is definitely possible also..the pills that are a different color in the last wk. of each month are just to keep your body on the pill...they don't actually do anything!...There is a shot you can get that is alot more effective and it lasts for a LONG time.

The pill is not always 100% safe. People have been known to fall pregnant whilst on the pill.

The only Birth Control that is 100% effective is abstinence. The pill is over 99% effective, but there is always a very slight chance of conception. If you are VERY worried, use a barrier method as well.

one, there is a 1% chance of getting pregnant and two, are you taking it everyday, or if you are on the minipill are you taking it at the same time? that could be the reasons yuo or someone u know could be pregnant on the pill

of course it is. and women take them because it lessens their chance of getting pregnant, but they still can.
