My sister has a sudden tear [about 1cm] in the sutured area in the abdomen. Pus is leaking from it and ther is little pain too. V r terribly worried.............She had a C-section in January and this tear is seen from today. V r goin to hospital right away. If u have heard of such occurences, know reasons or cures, plz tell me. Consider this as urgent.......

I'd definitely get to the doc quickly. It could be nothing, but it could be a rupture in the stiches. I hope your sis is okay. I've had 2 c/s and know they are NO fun to recover from.

I don't want to worry you, but it sounds like the suture area is infected. If there's pus, there's infection. Maybe she didn't clean the surgical area well? Tears usually occur from strain along the incision area (which would be weak from the surgery). I used to work at a hospital, but I am not a doctor. I hope everything turns out ok for your sister.

Her incision is infected. You should go to the hospital immediately. They will clean it out, and probably put her on anitbiotics. She should be just fine, maybe just a little indentation from the tear. I had my incision get infected also and my doctor treated it as I said.

It happened to my mother in law, her wound split completely open & she needed a blood transfusion but was fine, just get to the hospital as soon as you can, if its a small tear try not to move her to much as this may cause further tearing. Good luck. xx
