Pregnancy - March 2007

My friend recently lost her baby, she was 8 months pregnant and they told her that she had toxmosis. I didnt want to go into to much detail with her because I didnt know how she would react. Can someone tell me WHAT TOXMOSIS IS, WHAT CAUSES IT, AND WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS? Please help, i am so worried that i'll get it...

I am concerned becasue this is my second pregnancy and I feel virtually no symptoms. I posted this on here before, and people responded that maybe this time I am having a boy, and that would explain the "easiness". However, I had a boy the first time and felt plenty! Also, this time I have a lot of cramping. Last time it was minimal. Any thoughts? Have you personally experieinced a much easier second than first pregnancy??

Ok, I had my period Feb. 6-10, and I haven't had one since. (I am 9 days late) My periods are usually regular, but if it is late it is never any more than 1 - 2 days. Anyway, I have been expierencing abdominal cramping, nausea, frequent trips to the bath room, swollen tender breast ect. I stoped taking the birth control pill in January. (My period was regular before I took the pill too). I was wondering if I could be pregnant, or me missing my period is just a side affect of when I stoped taking the pill?

I hope it isn't a stupid question, but we just found out this weekend that we are going to have a baby!! She is 3 weeks into it. We have a trip scheduled to the Dominican Republic in the middle of April. Thanks for any feedback.

hi there, i am young and my bf and i have been having sex, but we were so busy with school this past semester, well we were only able to have sex three times this month. we used a condom everytime, but the third time we had sex the condom broke, that day i went to the store and immediately started taking plan b, _this was thursday it is not monday and my period still has not come, could i be pregnant? and how easy is it to get pregnant?

hi just wondering if any of you pregnant girls know if this could be a pregnancy symptom..........im not a jumpy person like noises behind me and things like that dont normally scare me ,but over the last two days i have nearly jumped through the roof 5 or so times just over people talking behind me or our surround sound system(we have had for years)and its not even loud. when things like this have been happening over the last two days i feel like im going to cry because it shocks me so much! The one thing is this is really unusual for me i cant even remember the last time i have been jumpy(even when my little brother plays pranks on me and then all of a sudden everything is sending me through the roof...almost,anyway.Well me and my partner are trying to conceive and af isnt even due for 6 days just wondering if any of you have had this problem and it turned out to be a pg symptom cause it so weird for me!! (and annoying)

well in the beginning i gaine 10lbs right now im 13weeks along with my pregnacy and i have not been sick at all or anything like that but i have lost 10lbs now and im staying the same weight do all women have too gain weight in pregnancy or is it ok not too gain alot both my mother and sister gained 20lbs each pregnancy

hi there! im 26 and my boyfriend and i are worried that we could be pregnant. i always have my periods 9th of evey mounth. im 11 days late, i also had a slight yeast infection, could this stop a period? another thing i had slight tingles in my breast but its gone now. i also get hungry more than usual. i also had slight discomfort in my stomach, what does this all mean???? could i be pregnant???? i took 3 test just after i was late for my periods, they were all negative. when is the best time to do a pregnancy test when hormones levels are strong enough to pick it up???? im finding it had not to think that i could be pregnant but ive had so many signs . iim also feeling tired all the time . please help!!!! could i be pregnant????

yesterday i was in a cleaning frenzy, i have been like this for 2 weeks but yesterday i cleaned our whole house carpets and cleaned our couch and loveseat with a carpet cleaner. i also scrubbed our floors and cleaned the whole house and today it hurts my back to even get up and walk. i couldnt stop cleaning anyways have i over done it or could it be i am in labor?

2 days ago (saturday) i fainted. i know this is normal during pregnancy but i cant help but worry if my baby is ok! It happened so suddenly, I was fine all day, so I went to the hospital, they checked my bp and everything, and all seemed fine, they said it was just a 'normal faint' during pregnancy. i thought they might have done a quick check on the babys heartbeat (never heard it yet) im nearly 16 weeks, but they never. Everything will be ok wont it.....??!!!

my girl friend took 2 'morning after pills' within a week - week 1/2... can that mess with her hormones pretty bad?? she hasnt gotten her period, although when she took them they were on the 1.5 and 2.5 week in her cycle...so how long could this delay her period?? shes also under stress and has had like cough colds a couple times soo?? ive heard some being for 2 months late before, and then ive heard it comes like a day after the pill??...shes been havin headaches alot lately too and she said that its all from the pills?? im scared shes pregnant, and she took a test that came back negatvie??

Hi everyone, i am 11 weeks pregnant. I have been dealing with constipation(i know this is gross..sorry) for about a week now. I noticed on my handout that my doctor gave me, it says that i can try milk of magnesia. Well i took 2 tablespoons yesterday and now today iam still having diarrea. Is this normal? I have never took it before. This isnt going to hurt my baby is it? My mom was worried about it mayb making me have contractions.. but at 11 weeks do you really think that could happen?

i first felt the flutters around 16 weeks then it developed about a week ago into definite little jabs into my tummy. my question is should my baby be more active as i only feel it moving about 5 times a day and i still feel the occaisional flutter and the kicks are generally last thing at night. does it get more and often as you get further on in pregnancy? thanks xxx

Hi all just had my 28 week glucose test and after 50g of Glucose my result was 204 approx 1 hour after ingestion of the glucose.
What does this mean for me? I am scared.

it's been 1week since we had our last pregnancy test... the first test turns out to be negative but until noe she haven't had her menstruation... we are worrying because this date should be her monthly period... like what i've said before.. her last period was on january 20 and she had her last sex last februaru 20.. what is it? do we have to take another test to assure?

im just reading up on pre-clampsia and it says somethin about upper abdominal pain when the say upper where abouts do they mean???? because i have been getting really bad pains all last night right between my breasts and at the top of my bump and between my shoulder blades... last time i got the pain was at 4am this morning and it lasted for about an hours before that was at 10pm which lasted for about an hour an half and then before then it was at 8pm which lasted for about an hour to.

I am 28 weeks pregnant, but because my hubby is military we are stationed in Germany, so we are seeing a German OBGYN. We are moving to the states in a month though, so I will spend my last month of pregnancy and delivery in the States. Is it ok to "skip" this months appointments? If everything is normal, and I've already had the required tests and shots, I monitor my BP and kick counts every day at home, is it illegal to miss prenatal appts if there is no other OBGYN that I would be comfortable with?
