You're going to be sore and achey, especially in your back, after that much strenuous activity.

As long as youre not having regular, progressively stronger contractions you're not in labor. You certainly might be having a little back labor, or false labor, or braxton hicks.

But to me it just sounds like you over did it and now you're sore.

That is simply called nesting. It doesn't mean your going into labor or that you will go anytime soon. Your maternal insticts are kicking in and getting ready for the birth of your child thats all.

When cleaning: There are no real issues with disinfecting your house as long as you know the safety of the chemicals you're using. There is no evidence to suggest that there is any link between the use of household cleaners and birth defects. It's a good idea to avoid oven cleaners and dry cleaning products and be careful never to mix ammonia with chlorine-based products, like bleach or cleanser, as the combination produces toxic fumes. Wear rubber gloves when cleaning and try not to breathe strong fumes.

During the end of pregnancy you will have a lot of back pain believe me. When you clean like that it just puts more pressure on both your back and pelvic bones. It is normal for you too feel like this. Take a rest, a nice relaxing bath soothes sore muscles. If the pain persists and gets worse than I would go into your local hospital/doctor just to be sure you don't want to make it to the hospital when your water breaks than the chances of you receiving pain medication such as an ephidural if you want one are slim.

Good Luck!

well its actually a begining stage of labor by heavy nesting. Your getting al ready and so is your body. you should try not to over due it, you dont want t o hurt yourself, but I had 2 other kids 3 and 1 along with being pregnant and my washer and dryer is down stairs so I was nesting like crazy too at your stage in preganncy and would be out of breath tooo so I understand what your doing. Keep at it and you wont be 40 when you have your5 baby lol. i stayed very active during pregnancy and had all 3 of my babies at 38 weeks along and within two weeks of your due date is considered on tim. good luck

Hello,
You're doing something called "nesting". It happens to some women just before you go into labor. I wouldn't be surprised if you go into labor before you even get a chance to read this. It could be up to another 2 weeks though. If you are ready you will know, it is unmistakable to miss. Good luck, it wont be long!

well at 37 weeks you shouldn't be doing any carpet cleaning, if your using a scrubber. you most likely over did it. but if you have any questions you should call your OB. They will tell you probably to come in to get checked. We hear this alot at the Birth Center that I work at. The only thing we tell them is to call their OB or if in doubt they could come in and get checked.

I'd say that is your nesting instinct. It's perfectly normal - just don't over do it. Take it slow.
It's just your way of getting your nest, your house, ready for when your baby comes home.
I went through it all 3 times!
Good luck!

I think you over did it, you are not in labor yet, but very close to it. I would rest today and put your feet up and watch tv. don't do to much today. after yesterday you deserve a break .

YOU ARE NOT IN LABOR.

You are "nesting", and it's normal for about 1 month before labor.

keep waiting.
