In some cases there are women that don't gain any weight because your fetus is taking all the calories as fast as you consume them. As long as the baby weighs what it should then I wouldn't worry. Although you are only 13 weeks. I didn't start to gain weight until about 20 weeks. At your next Dr appt discuss this issue with him/her.

I actually stayed the same throughout the whole pregnancy except in the last 3 months I ended up losing 7 lbs. Some women don't gain weight and still have a healthy baby. My son was born 8lbs 4 oz and was 24" long

For a woman of "average" height and weight (which you are at 5 ft and 130 lbs) you should be gaining between 25-35 lbs throughout the course of your pregnancy in order to maintain a healthy weight gain (Any less will not be enough weight for the baby, and any more is excessive, unnecessary, puts you at risk for gestational diabetes etc , and hard to lose). It is not uncommon to go for a few months with very little weight gain and then have a big weight gain one month- you have to look at the overall scheme of things instead of the month to month.

I bounced like that during my first pregnancy. By about the 5 month I started to gain weight. But in those last 4 months I gained about 40 lbs. I knew that I was supposed to be gaining, so I ate when I wanted to. But the answer is, yes you are supposed to gain by the end. As long as you eat healthy and when your body tells you to you shouldn't have anything to worry about. I would definitely talk to a doctor about it though and make sure that there is nothing wrong. I hope this helps you.

You do gain weight but with sickness in the begining its really easy to lose some. About now that your sickness has faded or is in teh process of fading youll begin to keep on the weight. since its your first baby your really not going to show until 5 1/2 6 months along. your fine ,but if you are still worried about your weight gain than you should address this ? to your doc. good luck

As long as the baby continues to grow, thats all that matters.
My mother was so sick with my youngest brother, for the whole nine months, that her digestive system literally was failing. She lost 60 pounds over the course of 9 months, and yet had a 9 pound healthy baby.
Our bodies are designed to grow babies, even in extreme conditions. So long as that baby is still growing you can lose all kinds of weight. You run the risk of there being missing nutrients for the baby, but as long as you are EATING and taking a PRENATAL that risk is slim.
A lot of women dont gain weight until their last trimester. You might be one of those women.

You should gain between 25-35 pounds, I lost weight in the beginning at first to from throwing up, but at the end of my pregnancy i had gained 70 pounds, but i don't suggest it(obviously) , it took me two years to lose the weight.

I lost weight with my last one at first too. I only gained like 15 lbs the whole entire pregnancy and lost it all right away - it was all baby and water! It's perfectly normal, but don't worry - you will start gaining, especially once you get further along.
Your doctor will keep a close eye on your weight.

You're only supposed to take in an additional 300 calories per day, while pregnant.
If you're not taking in those extra calories, the baby is taking the nutrients from what you are eating, and giving you less.
That is why you're loosing weight.
You should talk to your doctor.
