Hun, ring the midwife, that's what she's there for. she'll probably tell you to call her back or the doctor if it happens again but at least she'll be aware and should be able to set your mind at rest a little that you're doing all you can. that's what she's there for!

I began to have similar problems from 26 weeks onwards with rib pain radiating from under breast to shoulder blades etc. It had me in tears and stopped my sleeping. I am now 35 weeks and it has eased slightly but bothers me most at night. If I sleep on one side the other side hurts too because of displacement of the ribs. I eventually gave in and took paracetamol but basically, apart from this last week where I've managed 6 hours a night, I have been surviving on 3 1/2 to 4 hours a night sleep, a couple of hours at the start and a couple of hours before the alarm goes.
My heart goes out to you. It's sore. I was offered physio but it would have interfered wih my working hours too much.
BUT still ring your midwife and keep mentioning it at every appt. They checked my liver and lungs out.
Take care xx

You may have pulled a muscle or the baby is squashing nerve. I had a pain behind my breast when I was over due with my last baby and it turned out to be a pulled muscle in my chest. You should go to your midwife and get it checked even if it means going to the hospital for a few hours. You need to make sure you and your baby are well!!!

Good luck! x

You do get more of these pains the more pregnancies you have especially the feeling of slow labour, but if you feel that it is worrying you just have a word with the midwife, Good Luck.

Never leave it when you're worried. Definitely call the midwife, so she can put your mind at rest, or check you out. It sounds like IBS to me. Are you feeling very stressed at the moment? It's hard, being pregnant with two kids around, so try to take it easy. Good luck, and I hope you feel better.

You sound like me and you dont like a fuss being made over you but i think your midwife would prefer you to let her know whats happening to you as she knows what it might be. You have nothing to loose by ringing her and you will feel so much better!! Good luckxx

your midwife will not think you are being silly, so give her a call. chances are it is wind! That is what it sounds like. But ring her, - you won't be the only one!

Bobby, it is normal to feel discomfort during pregnancy, but real pain is another thing. You should definitely call your midwife straight away.
