I have had this taste for 6 days and it is getting stronger. I don't expect AF for another 5 days and think that the metallic taste may be an early sign that I am pregnant.

I used to may to my fiancee that my mouth tasted like I had been sucking coppers (coins) as I had this very early on in pregnancy. Before I discovered I was pregnant I also occasionally had a strange feeling in my mouth like I had eaten lip balm or vaseline even though I hadn't. It was like a greasy feeling and I still get it slightly even now I am 33 weeks gone.

One of my main symptoms that I was pregant was I was due on my period and it didn't arrive but felt JUST like it was about to with the usual cramps and tummy ache. I also had VERY tender boobs and nipples which I didn't usually have so look out for these signs also.

I hope this helps.

I went through IVF and 5 days after the embryo transfer pepperoni had a metallic taste too me. I looked up early signs of pregnancy on the Internet and foods tasting metallic was listed. I hope this helps. I haven't had pepperoni since.

The only thing a metallica taste appears to be linked to is an allergic reaction. If you need to find out if you're pregnant, wait 14 days after the risk, and then take a pregnancy test. This is the only way to know for sure.
