I know that a little cramping is normal. I remember minimal cramping my first pregnancy, but this seems more persistant. I have no bleeding. It is ongoing and never painful. Did you have this much cramping?

not to put a damper on things. last year when i had my 2nd mc, at about 7-8wks, i had cramping that kinda felt like gas pain. i went to the doc and told her my symptoms... well, she told me it was normal and to go home. well, i did, and then like 2 days later i went for an ultrasound only to find out that the baby had no heartbeat and the pain i was feeling the days before was the feelings of a mc. so, you may want to go the doc just to be safe. but there can be cramping early on. i never had any though, and this is my 7th prenancy that i am currently in right now, due in 4.4 wks

Congratulations! OMG YES i had this cramping with both my children, the first one i had a scan at 5 weeks to make sure the egg was not in my falopian tubes, and thankfully its was where it should be, they said to me that this cramping is a good sign, that he egg is burying deep into the walls of the uterus. You can take plain paracetamol during pregnancy, this helped me with the cramping. I would suggest that to be absolutley sure and relieved of any worry, go and visit your doctor and you miight be lucky like me and get an easrly preview of your litle ones heartbeat on screen. Good luck and just take it easy this cramping will ease in a few weeks. xxx
