HCG is detectable in the blood about 5 to 8 days after ovulation and fertillization. There is therefore about a week during which you are pregnant but may not have detectable levels of hCG in your blood stream--during this time, your blood pregnancy test would be negative.
Though it is therefore possible that you could be pregnant in the face of a negative blood pregnancy test,It could not hurt to repeat the blood or urine pregnancy test. I would explore other reasons for your symptoms, though

Well as for the blood test.. was it a beta quant test this test measures the amount of Hcg in the blood and it does not give off false negatives. You could have a cyst on your ovaries and this can cause you to skip a period. I would make an appt with your Gyn and see if they can get you an U/S done. Good luck.

I have never had a negative blood test. I dont think the blood test can be wrong hun. Sorry, but ur not preggy.
Sounds more like u r having some female organ problems. U need to have an appt with a gyno and see whats up.
Good luck in conceiving next time though. Dont worry, it will happen.....dont give up hope.

While a blood test is 100% accurate, labs aren't. So there could have been some sort of lab error, it is unlikely but it does happen.
Get another blood test and if it still reads negative then you need to start looking into what is preventing you from getting your period.

If I am reading correctly, you say that both your test were negative. So no, you can't be pregnant, especially if you took a blood test.
Being 5 weeks late could be the result of several different things,
1. hormone level
2. medications you are taking
3. stress
Blood test are the most accurate test that can be taken.

sweetie being pregnant with a neg blood test is very unlikely unless you tested before the 10 days after conception.I would say that your period is late due to stress, i wish you the best and good luck

It's most likely stress and the same thing happens to me too.
It would best best to get checked out by your gynecologist just to make sure that it is indeed stress and not some other underlying problem.

blood test are useually very accurate. i don't think your pregnant. sometimes you miss periods b/c of stress, weight gain or loss, change in diet or exercize. i would se eyour doctor though. Good luck.

There must be another reason why you are so late. I would make an appt with your doctor. It is very unlikely that you are pregnant. sorry.

I've never heard of that..Are you stressed out over anything? Stress and sickness can cause an irregular cycle.
