Talk to both your midwife and Dr. See what their professional opinions are. If you had problems during your previous pregnancy that doesn't automatically mean that you will this time. Every pregnancy is different.
I think YOU are the best judge whether or not you should have sex during this period. Listen to your body's reactions. If you feel like it's not comfortable for you than don't do it... but if you really want it and it feels good, go for it.
Good luck and best wishes! :)

Well why don't you stop until you get it checked out you could risk loosing your baby just because you want sex think what is more important right now the sex or the baby.

I would be extremely careful and definitely talk to both. I would abstain until then. Always better to err on the side of caution. Could be reaction to prostaglandins in sperm, which could be avoided by practicing safe sex.
Good luck.
You can run a search on "prostaglandins", to learn the role they play in labor.

I would obstain from sex and ask for my doctors opinion. What's more important?? You're partner's satisfaction or your baby? If you don't want to have sex, then don't. Hand him some lotion and tell him to have fun without you. I can tell by your post that you don't want to have intercourse at all. If it hurts, don't do it.
ps. if you are having really bad cramping, you should call your doctor right away. I personally don't think midwives are as qualified as doctors, and if he wants to see you, he can tell you which hospital to go to a midwife really can't.

Everything down there is much more sensitive during pregnancy. And orgasms make everything down there clench, which can cause that achy feeling. But you should definately ask your doctor about the bleeding.

If you are extremely worried, then do go to your doctor, but if you can wait, talk to your midwife, she is a friendlier face = )
Good luck!
