I am pregnant, and last week had a 3D ultrasound at 11 weeks along. I swear I see two little round circles on the groin area of the baby. My husband cant really tell, he thinks it is just shadows or the way the light hits. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if so what was the sex of the baby? I wont get another ultrasound til around 18 weeks and I am just kind of curious. A friend says it looks like two tiny balls. I know that 3 lines mean a girl, but these are circles. And so faint you really have to strain to see it. Purely out of curiosity, does anyone have a clue what, if anything, this might mean? They weren't obvious as i got the ultrasound, just if you study the photo that i took home.

HA! my husband and I were talking about that yesterday. We went in for our 18 week ultrasound and the lady said, "i think it's a boy" but she wasn't sure
THEN there was a shot .. with 2 little circles and something sticking up .. she froze the picture and said, "yup! it's a boy" .. 99.9% sure it's a boy. (and shes never been wrong)
I asked my husband yesterday if he saw the penis, he said, no, he saw the two little circles that were testicles!!
so those circles on our little boy was definitely testicles!!
so, there's a good chance you got a boy. little girls don't have 2 circles down there :)
congrats! good luck! God bless!

I am pretty sure that a boys testicles will not actually drop until later in pregnancy. At 18 weeks the tech was not sure what she was seeing at first and she first guessed a boy because she said the testicles would not have dropped yet. However, few minutes later the little one finally allowed a good look and we saw 3 little lines. So I think it is probably way too early to tell.
Good luck and Congrats though.

11 weeks is too early to guess the sex of the baby, Theres no way of knowing and even if its a boy, you wouldnt see the circles that soon! Its just too early, the sex of the baby really isnt noticed until AT LEAST 15 weeks from everything ive read. I wouldnt assume its a boy at all. Goodluck!!!
Mom of 4 boys and 26 weeks with another boy!!

At 11 weeks the fetus has not started developing one way or the other yet. There is no way to tell on a fetus that size whether it is male or female yet. At this stage ALL fetuses would have two "balls" and a "line". When the time comes for the sex organs to pick either way the "balls" will become either testes (male) or ovaries (female) and the "line" with become a penis (male) or a clitoris (female).

At 11 weeks there is hardly any chance of the sexual organs being fully formed! A boys testicles usually drop from the pelvis around week 16, but even at an 18 week scan, the testes still may have not descended!!
All babies start there life as females for the first six weeks in utero (thats why men have nipples!), so the chances of testes being fully formed and dropped outside of the pelvis by week 11 are so slim it's untrue!

i'm exceptionally specific that a boys testicles won't extremely drop until eventually later in being pregnant. At 18 weeks the tech grow to be unsure what she grow to be seeing in the previous each and every thing and she or he first guessed a boy because of the fact she pronounced the testicles would not have dropped yet. besides the shown fact that, couple of minutes later the toddler finally allowed a sturdy look and we observed 3 little strains. So i think of that's in all probability way too early to tell. sturdy success and Congrats regardless of the undeniable fact that.

The circles could be gas bubbles. The lines for a female are very defind and for the male is defind as well.
More like hot dog and turtle.
