I have terrible backache and my doc prescribed painkillers but they don't seem to work much so is it safe to use biofreeze?

biofreeze is a topical analgasic and should be ok during pregnancy. its not made to swallow so you should be ok.

I used it when I was pregant my doctor said it was okay but I would check with yours just to be safe. I mixed mine with lotion so it wasn't as strong but it still helped.
