I know that this is going to sound funny, but have any one expiries Vulvar swelling. I went to ER Saturday night with the feeling that some one had kicked my as hard as they could in my groin area. It stared on friday and got a lot worries as the day went by. The ER doc. gave me a scrip for a prenatal cradle and told me that the only way that this is going a way is when the baby is born. Because He is putting presser on the muscles and ligaments and that's causing that swelling.

Hmmmm, I would get a second opinion. I had pain without swelling, but my Doc wanted to see me anyway. When she examined she said she wanted to double check for swelling because during pregnancy you can actually develop varicose veins in this area. I am not saying your ER doctor is wrong, but swelling is not good so I would have your regular Doctor check too.
Take care and I hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry you are experiencing this. If you can tolerate it, try putting cool compresses or even ice pack for short intervals throughout the day. That might help a little so you aren't suffering constantly. Unfortunately other than that, you will have to wait until the baby is born. Hope it's not too much longer for you.

Is this your second pregnancy? Usually, vulvar swelling happens because of faulty stitches on your first birth giving. there must be hematoma going on or vein engorgement that's why it's swollen.

I had a lot of soreness in my groin area when I was pregnant with my son...I carried him much lower than my daughter and therefor, he put more pressure down lower and made me very sore! Lie down as much as you can to reduce the pressure and it should help ease the pain! Good luck to you and God bless!!
