I use sweet and low sweetener (saccharin) i read an article saying that that is very bad to have when pregnant because i can cause the baby harm. I am so worried now. I have been really good at staying away from harmful things, and now i just feel horrible. Is this really true?

In small amounts, that stuff is fine.
The rats they gave that too who got cancer ate the human equivalent of a half ton.
All women eat SOMETHING or take SOMETHING they aren't supposed to.
Don't worry!

I think we have all done that at some point. I have not eaten a papaya in ten years, and after eating a couple pieces in a fruit salad, I read some where that you are not supposed to eat papaya!! I freaked out for a bit :)

You sound like you are otherwise taking good care of yourself, so no worries!!

Doctors are just covering their behinds (and scaring people) by listing things as potentially harmful. Women in France don't stop drinking when they get pregnant.

Then again they keep having French children so maybe there's something to that...

Hi, i played it safe when i had my first two children and both of them have health problems. I went agianst everything with my third and she has no health problems at all. I think sometimes you can read to much information and instead of it helping you, it scares you. As long as you saty away from seafood and salt fish and shark and too much tuna you will be fine. I was told not to eat prawns but i ate them and my baby was born healthy. I think maybe use you instincts. Your baby will be fine, i'm sure. but don't let too many people tell you too many different things or it will end up confusing you and scaring you. x

I wouldn't be worried if I were you. There are a lot worse things you could have taken. Be cautious but don't loose sleep over something like that.

I use it all the time. Just stay away from nutrasweet or aspartame. Youll be fine.
