I used to be pro-choice because that was the cool, hip stance young, educated woman are supposed to take--or so society tells us.

Now, I am very pro-life because a baby is a baby is a baby, and not something one creates "accidentally" or get rid of for the sake of convenience. Every child (born and unborn)is a child of God and should be treated as such (even women who have had abortions, and even the doctors who perform abortions).

Personally, I know lots of women who have had abortions and regret doing so. I don't know anyone who has ever given birth to a baby and regretted that!

Women who have abortions are 6 times more likely to commit suicide. What do suicide and abortion have in common? They are both permanent solutions to temporary problems.

I think we, as a society, should do more to make having a baby a blessing for every woman, regardless of her circumstances. We should welcome every baby into the world as a true gift from God. I think a lot of people in the pro-life movement forget that. When you see a young, unmarried woman with a baby, please don't judge her. Be thankful she chose life over abortion.

Preachy? Probably, but that is exactly where I stand!

Godspeed.

I am in between because I feel like women should be able to decide how she wants to live her life but at the same time you are killing a human life and denying a human the right to exist just because it. Almost everything is living and moving and growing. And so is a baby. Just because it doesn't have face or haven't developed lungs or heart just yet doesn't mean that it doesn't matter. You can't tell the future of a baby. You have to give then a chance because they could turn into people who could change the world

I'm a christian too I'm pro choice to a certain extent. Life begins when the heart starts beating. 2 things must be present in order to say something is alive. Heart must be beating and brain must be working. Boom!! You are ALIVE. With that being said, idk where some people get that "life begins wen u can survive outside the womb" bull crap. NOW I don't think abortion shuld be outlawed. But it should somehow be regulated. There shud be certain qualifications that must be met before u can get one. It must b done no later than 5 or 6 weeks pregnant. ALL rape vicims an drug addicts whov been addicted for over a year should be accepted An ther shud b a limit on hw many times dey can come to get an abortion using that excuse. Or It must be a high risk pregnancy, Or u hav a mental disability or if u got pregnant under age 16. I think those are the only reasons y an abortion should b accepted in a medical facility. Other than those reasons ur jus gonna have to keep your baby.

I highly support and reccomend abortion. If a woman does not want to have a baby or suffer through pregnancy who are we to tell her she has to. What if the mother got pregnant by accident and is in no shape mentally or financially to take care of the baby. The world is overpopulated anyway, and the matter will only get worse. I know everybody thinks that abortions are bad but they really aren't

I am totally against abortions- it takes the life of an unborn child. For Sh-ai-ly who is a pro-choice Christian, and anyone else who says abortion is wrong for them but ok for someone else- there is absolute truth- you say that God gives us a choice, a free will- but that does not make every choice a choice that would please God, now does it, or we would not have needed Jesus to die of on the cross of us- as a Christian abortions are absolutely wrong for anyone- because we are to follow God- anyone who makes a choice to abort is making a choice that takes a life.

Yes, abortion is killing an unborn child. We have established that much. All of you people who claim to be Christians, though, are judging these girls who are exercising their choice of free will that GOD gave to them. It is not within my right, your right, or anyone elses right to judge a girl who thinks that abortion is the road she wants to take.

SHE is the one who is going to have to live with the guilt for the rest of her life, not you. SHE is the one who may have to sit in that chair alone during the procedure, not you. SHE is also the one who would raise that child alone (because it's SOOO hard to give up a baby that you've been carrying for nine months), not you.

No, I don't feel that abortion should be used as a method of birth control, but I also don't feel that it's a reason to condemn another person, either. Lord knows, we've all done our share of bad things, and I don't think that abortion is different than any OTHER "sin". It's STILL a "sin", if you want to go there.

You may or may not agree with it, and that's fine, but it is a woman's right to choose, and it's not OUR right to judge.

That is all.

im a pro-choice christian.

WHOA! (seriously? seriously!)

i personally would not make the decision to have an abortion. i do not believe they are the right thing to do in most situations, but i do believe that the choice is yours, as a pregnant woman, and not anyone elses.

god gave us free will and the ability to make decisions. he put things out there that arent good. he tested adam and eve with the fruit from the tree.
i think that people who are against them are usually against them for the right reasons. but i also believe that people who are for them are for abortion for the right reasons, too.
bottom line is that if god wanted us to have a clear-cut path where there was no way to mess things up, he wouldnt have given us free will. a woman has a right to make that choice, but she also has the responsibility of living with it.

usually people who are against abortion are christians (or religious) and they think that because it is a sin (which it literally is) that they are better than those who do it or that there shouldnt even be a choice.
but those same people choose between committing sins and not every day. its the same thing, in my eyes.
to god, a sin is a sin. no one is greater than another. a murderer isnt going to be judged any more harshly than a liar or a thief. its hard when you feel a strong moral obligation to do what is right, but you are faced with deciding to be "pro-" this and that.

basically one of the reasons im so for it being legal is because i know that it would continue to happen, whether it was legal or not, and with it being illegal, there would be so many botched abortions and it would cause more pain and suffering than there already is.

and before any of you go off about how awful it is and how youre so above it: remember that you arent perfect. you have done things that are wrong too.
and remember that its rare for any woman who get an abortion and not suffer from it in one way or another.

It doesn't matter what i think! But what i do think in regards to abortion it is an individuals decision! I think that women should always have the option! Sometimes in order to save a life one must be given up. I do not feel it is a valid method of birth control nor should it be! It is something that a women needs to decide for herself and should always be an option and not up to our lovely gov't who has been famous in years past in taking our rights away. Personally i do not think i could go through it but i do believe it should remain an option for others it is no ones place to decide what is best for everyone i also believe that a child does not become a child until late 1st trimester there fore if a women decides to terminate a pregnancy at the very early ages she is simply discarding the possibility of another human life not a human life. These are my beliefs and everyone is entitled to have their own something the gov't has yet to take from us and god willing they wont.

Well, it depends.

If you got pregnant on purpose, what's the point of getting an abortion? You WANTED a baby, but then you kill it. Literally. That's just sick.

If you got pregnant on accident, this could be a problem. The first way to prevent an abortion is to make sure your man doesn't ***. And if he does, that's bad. Just make sure he's "safe"

All in all, I'm against abortions.
