and she DOESN'T take "criticism" or "correction" too well?

FYI: "harmful" in a way that will/could lead to trouble in the long run, NOT "harmful" in the way of abuse, but on the line of it.

I ask this because I had a third grade teacher that told the class she would let her own kids die. Personally I would die to save them.

Last month my son told us that he was beginning the process of legally changing his name to Cash-Money God. I don't know the significance of it, but I figured it was just him being a rebellious 17 year old boy. He claims his real name, Ralph Finkelstein, isn't "gangsta" enough. Today he showed me the papers and all he has to do is submit them to city hall on Monday and it's official! I never thought he was seriously going to do this! As if this isn't bad enough, when my daughter found about what her brother was doing, she thought it was cool and told us that she decided to legally change her name to Jenny Juicy-Legs. She also doesn't like the name my wife and I gave her, which is Agnes Finklestein. Plus, she's only 16 years old! I tried to talk them out of this but they say I have no moral authority since I legally changed my name last year to Super King when I launched my rap label. What should I do with my 2 rebillios children

I started looking at some toys that I bought my kids months ago and had hid away for Christmas and realized some were made in China. I need to find out if they were on the recall list. I went to the Hasbro website and can't really find out anything on them. Is there another site I can go to and do a search for these items?

I was wondering if there is a way to get my son to stop waking up in the night for milk. I would love to have hours of sleep without disturbances. I hope I can get answers from professional moms :)

My eldest 2yo twin boy is 80% deaf, due to severe glue ear, plus has a few breathing difficulties. Although he was never diagnosed until about 6 months ago. Every day my little boy fights his way through the day.
He recently started talking and every time he speaks it is magic. I am so proud of him, words can't really explain.

His brother also never complains of having to come along to every appointment for his brother. He sits there and is so patient. He is such a good brother and son. He always reminds us that it won't be long till William (his brother) is all better.

What have your kids done to make you proud?

If a child no longer believes in Santa Claus (but has sibilings that do) should they still receive gifts from Santa? Is it fair to either of the two to deny the child gifts from Santa?

My reason for asking is because my step mom is telling her 12 year old he is only getting 3 presents for Christmas this year because he no longer believes in Santa Claus, while his brother and sister will still be receiving 5 because they do believe in Santa. I personally don't think it's fair to him. I come from a family that have family members getting gifts from Santa and they're in their 50's. I don't understand why she is going to do this to her child, she knows that he will through a fit if the other two get more then him, so why not just be fair to the kids?

Make him stop!!!! I have two big tests at the University tomorrow and I really need to study. and with him, my sisters writing a new song in the room next door (which includes guitar, keyboard, and bongos), my brothers playing X-Box across the hall, the little kids screaming "Wake Up JEFF!!!!!" downstairs, and the yelling and jeers of my 12 yo bro and his friends outside as they show off skateboard tricks to each other (not to mention the stereo that's on), I can't concentrate. how can i get them to be quiet? i can't go to the library because it's too far to walk, and my car is in the shop, and I can't use my sisters' car because, well they don't let anyone drive it but each other, and my parents both have their cars out, and i'm not about to drive our 22 passenger bus (it's a big family, 20 of us altogether) to the library. I've tried yelling "everyone shut up" and that didn't do anything. HELP!!!!!!

Hey, I'm fifteen. Tonight I've got to babysit for one of my dad's friends (honestly i suspect it's because they want to go out and have sex as he's got no idea when he'll be back and she's slept over here twice). They're two semi-annoying girls (you know really attention desperate, and sorry, can't spell), three years old and seven years old. I'll be babysitting from eight until possibly three am. I've got around four years of expeirience, am very good with kids and am a certified babysitter by the red cross as of three years ago march. I also have three siblings girl-just turned 5, boy-6 since july, and girl-just turned 11. I haven't got any idea how much to charge, any ideas?

I'm 24 and live with my friend (Nia,age 13 - no alive relatives) for 2 years already.Nia is quite mature, responsible, intelligent, kind, sensible girl(she acts like a 19yo and she doesn't miss any childhood-she is happy). We are very close, share everything(I don't feel as a guardian because she is the one who helps me when I have a problem or need support).I've never yelled at her or got angry with her.
She has that friend Sara (age 23 - I know her but we are not so close).A week ago Sara passed (a car accident during work-she is in the police and so am I,we were colleagues but weren't so close). And now Nia can't get over Sara's death.I help her, listen to her,hug her, talk about that when she needs(all the time) and understand her(I am there for her).Nia just feels so bad and I feel bad I can't help her pain go away.We all(my and Sara's colleagues) try to help Nia but she keeps crying all the time, she can't think of anything else, she doesn't want to eat or go out.How can I help her?

What is wrong with you people? My daughter and snl are having a tizzy about their new baby sleeping in the same bed. It's a brand new kid and they want to stick him in another room! When I was a kid we had 2 parents and 4 kids in a 2 room house. We all shared a bedroom until we started moving out. Girls on on mattrice and boys on the other. And it was no big deal, everybody was poor as us. When my parents wanted some time alone they went in the bedroom alone for a while. When we started having boy or girl friends we snuck into the barn, car, field, woods, we got creative after a while. Anyway, why do you nuts think that parents and kids in the same room is wrong? Seeing parents nude or that they have sex is part of life. How do you think YOU got here?

Parents, would you be disappointed if your child didn't play any high school sports? For those of you with kids in high school who don't play sports, are you disappointed that they don't play a sport?

My son is 5 and has had behavioural problems since pre school. He loses his temper and hurts other children, can be quite restless and hyper at times and also is very competitive and gets very upset if he loses. He's ostricised and labeled for his behaviour at school, he tells me that no one wants to play with him (so he clings to his friend from birth, this is upseting his mother who is my friend as she's concerned my son is affecting her son's relationships with other children) I'm very upset about it too. All aspects from his bullying behaviour to his low self esteem and inability to make friends are a constant worry for me. A mother has approched me telling me to make my son stop bullying her daughter, aparently my son had punched her in the face and persistently taunted her as they were sitting next to each other at class. I arranged a meeting with the head teacher (continues bellow)

He only visits me 2x a month. At night he constantly grinds his teeth. Says doesn't like to have covers covering him as it gives him nightmares. Says he doesn't like to sleep over my house. I ask him further but he won't say anything else. Just says he sees shadows in my window? One time was having a nightmare and was thrashing and saying: "I hate you." Is it possible that something is going on at his home whether arguments, or cussing, because in my home we teach him about love, respect, and God, and there is no foul language. Your thoughts.

Who has a more crapper day then me..?

I go to court cause I am suing the guy that my daughterknows because he kicked in my front door and I had to have it replaced..

She is next door seeing the father of her baby in jail. (Yippie). Well she comes over to the court house when she is done and when she goes through security they go though her purse and find POT!!

Now weather I think pot is good or bad is NOT the issue.. At the moment it is ILLEGAL ...

Since she is on probation this is a violation of it and has been given 10 days in detention..

I am taking care of the baby while she is in.. Which means NO SLEEP for me because I work midnight and am training for a new job during the day..

Thank GOD for day care some of those days. BUT on the week end.. It is me and him and NO sleep.

How has your week been..?
