my boyfriend seems has a thing for pregnant girls. he's not attracted to me unless i'm pregnant. we've been together 6 yrs now and have 4 kids, 2 of which were taken away by child services (for bogus reasons). anyway, the little one is only 2 months old and he wants to get me pregnant again. i'm only 25 and don't want anymore kids yet, but he says he'll just go find someone else who likes to look "good" for their man. what should i do?"

I know I have a lot of flamers here and a lot of haters that have been reading up on every pessimistic question I've asked on here, but I'll tell you why I'm a bit resentful and obsessing on the pregnancy thing so much lately. I took a pregnancy test today and as suspected for the last couple days, I'm pregnant.

I know who the father is, because I haven't been with anyone since that one occurence almost a month ago or for 3 months before that. The guy is a good guy friend of mine that I somewhat coerced when we were drinking together at a party a month ago.

So now all my hypothetical "abortion" and "raising kid" questions aren't hypothetical anymore. Go ahead, flame me. You'll probably tell me to get an abortion & that I have "issues" which would interfere w/ raising a kid. But you also know that I'm against abortion. I want to raise this kid, & to prove to everyone that I can. What do you think of this idea? Do you think I'd do well with it?

The Bell Curve asserts that the USA encourages the wrong women to have babies (uneducated, young, unmarried, etc.) by giving tax breaks, WIC, welfare, etc. The writers state that the US should encourage the RIGHT women to have babies: namely, those with high IQs (who also tend to be educated, married, and financially stable). What do you think of this?

my mother in law just came a week ago from Romania and is gonna stay until dec. last time she was here, she was okay and my 1 yr old Melody was only three months old. i was really excited about her coming. now she's here and she's driving me CRAZY! we're in the car and we pull up to wherever we were going. she tries to beat, yes, to BEAT me to get the baby out of the car. last night melody was drinking her milk before going to bed and the woman was putting towels away. i heard the baby, so i was going to her but no, this woman pushes the door in my way so she can get there first. what kind of a person does that?! she's my friggin kid!! now, i'm not done. we went to kohl's for a lil shopping today. i just finished trying on all my clothes and melody was with me walking around the fitting room. i picked her up and put her in the stroller and she threw one of those mondo fits you see on condom commercials. now, i am the kind of person who will get down to eye level and discipline...

I was at my daughter's grade school this morning volunteering. I saw a student who's mother suddenly passed away this weekend. This woman was my childcare provider about 6 years ago, although I do not think the child would remember me from that. At first I was taken aback that the student was at school, the funeral was 2 days ago, then I felt I should say something. When I saw the child was coping well, I changed my mind in fear of sending her into a meltdown. Do you think I did the right thing?

I already wrote about a pregnancy scare from last year and how my so-called "friends" were very condescending in telling me to get an abortion, making it seem like it was the only "sensible" thing to do. By the way, I was in my mid-20s at the time, had a college degree, 100% financially independent, made decent money, didn't party/do drugs...I wasn't some young teen.

One of the reasons(other than financially) they said for me to get an abortion, was b/c they doubted that my boyfriend would stay w/ me. They never met the guy, yet made judgments & one friend even text messaged me with, "Raising a kid is hard, esp since you're gonna be doing it alone." In reality, the guy was a decent guy...not quite ready to have a kid, & he hadn't finished college yet like I had, but a good guy(I can honestly say that now, since it's been a good amount of time since then & I've known him even more). But they all assumed that this guy was a jerk, or else wouldn't want to stay w/ me...

Can anybody recommend some safe sites? I know there are a lot of scams out there... even the ones that sound good. It would be especially helpful if you could recommend me to something you have tried out yourself and found successful. I am aware of many of the sites, it's just a matter of knowing which are true and which aren't. I'm looking for something that doesn't require any degrees or a lot of my time....kind of a work on my free hours sort of thing. I have a newborn on the way so I don't want to be tied up too badly...

As of right now my husband and I want it to be a suprise. We would buy everything in neutral colors to start out and not end up with everything blue or everything pink at the baby shower. Do you want to know before the birth and why or why not?

Well I sure do! I hated Nicole Richie for a while now, being such a spoiled brat that takes everything for granted and--most of all--is still left on this planet after abusing drugs worse than a fat guy abuses a Chinese buffet. She should be dead by now like my friend's brother, but noooo...we're still stuck with her and her bad side-swept hairdo.

So when my least favorite, most annoying celebrity became pregnant...you can just imagine my rage! I already resent dislikable people becomming pregnant and getting supported/congratulated by others, since NOBODY supported me when I had a pregnancy scare, and a lot of people insulted me by telling me to get an abortion or tried to tell me that I'd never be able to afford having a kid despite my strong work ethic, thriftiness, and wise money management skills. Why does Nicole deserve our support? Moreso, why was Nicole Richie even able to get pregnant? Anorexic heroin addicts generally are unable to get pregnant. >:(

Anyone else mad?

The lady that signed me up was very uninformative. I feel overwhelmed with questions i couldn't think to ask and she's not contacting me until saturday to check on me. I feel she threw a book or two at me and said, ok run a business.. Is there anyone here who sells Avon and would be a mentor/guide for me till i can kinda get the hang of it? Thanks =) Also, im asking here because i figured alot of stay at home moms like myself may sell it as well.

I'VE JUST ABOUT HAD IT WITH PEOPLE DOUBTING THAT I'D BE A GOOD PARENT, DESPITE ALL THESE OTHER PEOPLE MY AGE HAVING KIDS & IT BEING OK FOR THEM. I'M TIRED OF PEOPLE TELLING ME TO "GET AN ABORTION" AS IF IT'S THE ONLY SENSIBLE OPTION DURING THE TIME I HAD A PREGNANCY SCARE. I want to prove that I AM very capable of raising a kid.

Therefore, I am on a 12-mo. plan. I am working extra hard to build up savings, pay off student loans & credit cards early, & put myself in a spot so that by the time my 12-mo plan is complete, I will be financially secure enough to afford having a kid without having to work more than 1 job. The savings will include money allotted for hypothetical prenatal visits, baby supplies, etc. This is the best hypothetical way that I can prepare for being a parent. There's other preparation too(such as babysitting for my friends' babies), but I'm focusing on the financial end here, since everyones' #1 concern last time was me not being financially able enough to.

I found out yesterday that I have to take a Glucose test at my next doc appointment. I know that I have to drink this punch like stuff an hour before my appointment and then I have to get my blood drawn BUT I have no clue why I’m taking this test or what happens if I fail. My doc was in such a hurry yesterday (he had to go do a C-Section) and so he didn’t go into detail. Does anyone know more info?

Meet Mr. "A". "A" is 29 yrs old, good looking, intelligent, tattoo artist that's also involved w/ politics & majored in biochem in college(quit college to be a tattoo artist, but he's quite good though). He's a "lady's man."

Last weekend, there was a very important tattoo convention for a company that he was starting to do work with. The person in charge of the convention paid for A's airfare ticket so that "A" could travel for free & work this convention. The person in charge also spent a LOT of time & money putting "A" on the ads, website, etc. "A" knew this. The same day "A" was due to fly in for the convention, he wrote a simple e-mail saying "dude I don't want to do this." Now is he responsible enough to be having a kid??

Now meet Miss "B". "B" is 24, has a Bachelor's degree in biochem, also involved in political campaigns, has an artistic side like "A" but was too busy working her butt off at multiple boring jobs to ever pursue it(she came from poverty). "B" lives..
