I have been having a back ache off and on and was wondering what the difference between back labor and a back ache feels like. n Or do you know of a good website that describes them well.

I am 23 weeks along. I know one person that went into back labor at this stage but have not talked to her in a long time and my mom knows someone who did the same. Both of them have had babys before and both did not know what it was. I know back aches are common in pregnancy but I am just worried because of seeing it so recently.

The basic difference between back labour and a regular back ache is that a regular back ache happens when you aren't in labour. They feel the same, because they are both back aches. If you aren't in labour, you have a normal back ache, one of those sucky things about pregnancy.

Back ache is a dull ache that is just there. Labor is cramping that gets worse and stronger with each contraction. Back labor, in my opinion is the WORST!!! No drugs or medication can relieve it - it's caused by the baby pushing on your back. I think it's worse than labor itself. I've had back labor with 2 out of 3 of my kids - and those were the ones WITH epidurals - you can still feel it and there's nothing you can do about it except to give birth.

Back aches in being pregnant are only a stupid pain to your again. It's rough to give an explanation for. Back hard work is in which the contractions begin to your again and radiate for your abdomin. If you've gotten steady hard work, the contraction will probably be to your abdomin. In each instances of work, the anguish can and commonly does radiate for your legs. Contractions most likely think like excessive interval cramps.

I always thought back labor basically felt more like you had to have a horrible horrible constant bowel movement - back labors just a nicer way to say it. And regular labor is crazy earth shattering cramping. Plus regular labor comes and goes, back labor is constant.
