I had a c-section 4 weeks ago and have been having problems with my left foot ever since. At first, the foot was just numb. I got up and was walking within the first 18 hours after surgery, but for the first week or so, I was slow to regain feeling in that foot.
Now the numbness is nearly gone (still some left behind my knee and in my first 3 toes), but it's been replaced with excruciating pain... I suspect nerve damage.
It alternates between burning/frostbite, and even the skin is sensitive to a fan blowing in the room. It's like constant electrocution and I'm very limited in what activities I can do.
Should I seek a neurologist or is this possibly sciatic nerve pain that a chiropractor could help with? Anyone who's dealt with this before, please share your experience with me. Were you able to solve the problem?
