The idea that eggplant causes the onset of labor is a myth. Here is an excerpt regarding that theory: "One of the methods of self-inducing labor that's been sweeping the internet in recent years is the myth that eggplant will start labor. This maternity myth started when a news story began circulating about a restaurant in Georgia named Scalini's. Apparently the mothers of over 300 babies have gone into labor in the past 23 years, within 48 hours of eating the eggplant parmegiana.
The funny part is, it may just be that the dish causes the women to go into labor, but it's not the eggplant. The herbs Oregano and Basil have properties that may cause contractions, though it is not yet known how or in what quantities. This is why, in aromatherapy circles, these herbs and essential oils are to be avoided whenever possible during pregnancy."
So go to dinner but don't eat anything with oregano and/or basil. That's the pc answer. My answer to that idea of your friend is "phfft".

Oh, that's nuts...do you know how many people back in the day went ahead and kept on smoking and drinking and eating mercury-laden seafood right up until their due dates? And guess what- their babies, for the most part, turned out fine. Everyone's too freaked out about everything these days. If the old-school moms could down a cup of coffee every morning while pregnant, an aubergine isn't going to hurt you.

i'm getting a giggle out of interpreting responses from some human beings, it kind of sounds like alot of human beings basically make issues up. besides....you should offer your physique 365 days to heal itself until eventually now turning out to be pregnant back. that's superb to attend that long, in spite of the shown fact that, in case you obtain pregnant suitable away, you could desire to nevertheless have a wholesome toddler, it heavily isn't medically reccomended. i'm an ob-gyn scientific student. sturdy success! Your courageous in case you choose yet another toddler this quickly!

This is no time to be overly concerned about offending your friend because I'm sure she understands that you want to do what is best for yourself and for your little one.

What Not to Eat
It's important to know which foods are safe to eat and which you need to avoid while pregnant. Eat a safe pregnancy diet, and learn about safe food storage and handling by following these tips from the Clemson University Agricultural Extension.
Don't eat:
Raw meat such as sushi, seafood, or rare/undercooked beef or poultry, because of the risk of contamination with coliform bacteria, toxoplasmosis, and salmonella.
Raw eggs, or foods containing raw egg, such as Caesar dressing, mayonnaise, homemade ice cream or custard, unpasteurized eggnog, or Hollandaise sauce, because raw eggs may be contaminated with salmonella.
Soft cheese such as blue cheese, feta, Brie, Camembert, and Latin-American soft white cheeses such as queso blanco and queso fresco, because they may harbor harmful bacteria.
Fish containing accumulated levels of mercury in their fatty tissues such as shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish. When a pregnant woman consumes large amounts of mercury, her baby may suffer brain damage resulting in developmental delays (for example, delays in learning to walk or talk).
Fish containing high levels of an industrial pollutant called polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in their fatty tissues such as bluefish and striped bass, and freshwater fish such as salmon, pike, trout, and walleye from contaminated lakes and rivers. According to the March of Dimes, consumption of large amounts of PCBs by pregnant women is linked to decreased attention, memory, and IQ in their babies. Check with your local Health Department to determine which fish in your area are safe to eat.
