I am pregnant with our 3rd baby. I have 2 sons ages 10 and 8. Their names are Ian Chandler and Ethan Ross. If this baby is a boy, they want his name to end in "an", like theirs. And if it's a girl, we just want something that will go well with the boys' names. Any suggestions?

Say my family comes from a heavier set family and I come from a skinny family. Will my baby be in between or is it what I feed my baby as a child determine how he/she will look when older?

Physically, it's best for our bodies to have our first child before the age of 30. In fact, the younger the better- for our health and the baby's. Yet, it's hard to balance young children when one is just starting out in a career. Is it possible?

I had my baby jan 11th 2007, I got over the pain pretty quickly. All of a sudden I wake up this morning and the scar area is tender and its hurting when I walk.
Have you experienced the pain coming and going?
BTW this is my second c-section, and with my first I healed quickly and my pain didint return like this time.

If I'm overreacting, please say so, but this really has me upset.

I asked my mother if there was any way that we could arrange to have a baby shower for my daughter, who is going to be here in May. It's been ten years since I have been pregnant with my son, and I did not have anything with him. I had a tiny baby shower (I was unmarried at the time, so my mother didn't invite hardly anyone, and apologized for the inconvenience to everyone when they were leaving) with my son, and used the crib that was MINE when I was an infant (in other words, it was being held together by duct tape due to the fact that I couldn't afford anything else) to hold him). The only things I got at that shower were a couple of outfits and a few packages of diapers. It's not like I got a ton of big things.

I only asked her, though, and she laughed at me. She told me that I was being a spoiled brat by asking, and that people don't have two showers. She also made it clear that I was to go to a friend

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for around five years with no luck and three failed IVF attempts. After the 2nd IVF I began thinking about adoption, and we have been talking about it for around six months. We've decided this is the option we would to go for and i was wondering if there is anyone out there who could give us advice, share your stories etc. We are interested in overseas adoption, but there seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding the idea. Ideally we would like to adopt a baby, but no other preferences. Thank You

My freind just moved to california and she's 6 months pregnant. She wants to apply for medi-cal but she has to have a california id( she's already applied for one but they said it might take 60 days for her to recieve it!) can she use the id reciept or what other documents can she use for a california id? Plus since she's staying with freinds she doesn't have a rental reciept or utility bills or a job will this cause a problem in her application? With lots of Thanks for your help!!!

I don't really understand the healthcare system in the US(I am from UK)
Do you have to pay for everything? Like if you broke your leg and had to call 911 you would be charged for treatment? Do you have to pay to give birth in hospital?
Do most Americans have health insurance? How much is that and what does it cover?
Do you have to pay to see a GP?
Obviously in the UK everythimg is free so does that mean we pay more taxes than US?

Ok, so me and my bf of 7 years just broke up about 2 weeks ago. We was moving out of state but he moved first with his dad because of a job and I didn't want to transfer Dr.s because I was already comfortable with the ones I have. We got together young. We are now 22 and 23. Got engaged before the baby...Now, he left and I'm here alone to bear all this weight. I want my baby to have a mom and dad and I brought the issue of adoption up and he flipped out. We both came from broken homes. I had to watch my mom struggle with me for so many years because my dad left her when she was pregnant with me. I DON'T want to give up my baby but I am trying to think of what is best for him. I hope that my ex will come around and we will get back together. I am just really scared of being a single mom and not sure that I will be able to provide for a child like I would be able to do if he would have a mother and a father. I hated not having a dad in my life. He says that he will be in our sons' life.

Have any of you out there had dish soap put in your mouth for cursing? When I was about 11 my older sister, whom at the time was 18, and I had a big argument. During the argument I cursed her out. She then hauled me over to the kitchen sink and grabbed the bottle of Palmolive. She put me in a headlock and forced some of that horrible stuff in my mouth. When she let go of me I ran in the bathroom and tried to rinse it out of my mouth but by adding more water it made the soap foam up more and taste worse. When my mother came home I told her right away what happened and she smiled and said "good". We all laugh about this incident now but at the time I wasn't laughing at all.
