No.
New studies have come out disproving old recommendations about avoiding caffeine.
"Another scientific study affirms something we've suspected all along: Pregnant women can consume moderate amounts of caffeine without harming their babies..."

Moderation is still advised, but there was never anything wrong with a couple of cups.

Caffeine is carried in your blood and crosses the placenta to the baby. Caffeine affects an unborne baby the same as it would a borne baby. It will affect it's restfullness and the nervous system. It is also not great for the pregnant woman either because you already possibly have an increased blood pressure and this is something that a pregnant woman needs to be wary of. Some doctors recommend reducing your caffeine intake (this goes for cola drinks too) however, abstinence means that you know you have nothing to worry about. Once the baby is borne, then you have the considerations of what crosses into the breastmilk!

Personally, i stopped drinking tea eventhough i was a 3-4 times a day tea drinker pre-pregnancy. As the mother who has control over what goes into the baby's constituency i felt i wanted the best for my baby.
Drinking lots of water, 3 cups of milk and only fresh juices or fresh fruit helped me after post delivery with the milk production as well.
I read and am still reading pregnancy weekly and baby center sites for content related to pregnancy and baby.

Many moms-to-be hate giving up their morning cup of coffee. Is it really necessary to give up caffeine while pregnant? It has been reported that the light to moderate consumption of caffeine is safe during pregnancy. I think the problem arises in the definition of "moderate" and also in the conflicting results of studies on the effects of caffeine.
In 1980, the Food and Drug Administration published recommendations that advised pregnant women to avoid or limit consumption of foods and drugs that contained caffeine. The advice stemmed from a study in which pregnant rats were exposed to caffeine and various teratogenic effects, resorption of fetuses, and a reduction in fetal and placental weight occurred. However, subsequent studies have not identified an association between congenital malformations and maternal caffeine consumption in humans. Also, rodents are generally more susceptible to teratogenic influences than humans; differences exist between rodents and humans regarding caffeine metabolism, and the doses used in the rat study were excessively higher than normal human consumption. A 60-kg human would have to consume approximately 50 to 70 cups of coffee daily to achieve the equivalent dose used in the study.

If you are concerned you should definately consult your doctor. My personal experience I drank iced tea from time to time and even soda sometimes. My baby is perfectly healthy and happy. There are some studies that say you can have caffine drinks, you just have to be careful of the amount you consume. And if you like iced tea, try herbal decaffinated tea. But definately consult your doctor first.

I drank tea whilst pregnant and also drank Coke. I asked my doctor about it becuase someone tried to tell me how bad coke is for my unborn child and my doctor told me that alot of women are told not to drink coke becuase it is so sugary and they gain too much weight. Nothing to do with harmful effects. I think people are too highy strung with the do's and don't these days. Healthy babies are born all the time to mothers who eat and drink whatever they want to.

Wow, strange fact there. I drank ice tea cus it was the summer and i didn't want to drink tap water, and i didn't want to drink pop so i bought bottled water and made cold brew tea. There was nothing wrong with my baby. I thought coffee was bad but had no idea that they thought tea was bad.

studies show that you can have up to about 3 cups of coffee a day without harming your baby. now in my case i'm on a medication that has caffine in it so i'm only allowed one caffinated drink a day. Moderate consumption of caffine is not going to hurt your baby otherwise why would my doctor perscribe me a migrane medicine with caffine in it!

It depends on how much you drink and what your doc says. Mine told me no more then 10oz a day. But what is does is it take the nutirents out of the food you eat if you drink to much of it.
