Okay I am due on Monday and I had an appointment today with the doc. I still havent dilated, but I have effaced. The doc. schedualed a ultrasound for Monday because he said he thinks the baby is to big to fit into my birth canal. He has dropped just not fully because his head is big and he weighs alot, and I am to petite to fit him. So I have an ultrasound at 1 on monday and an appointment right after, they think that I will need to schedual a c-section right away. I had been having sharp pains and the nurses have wrote it off a thinking it was a bladder infection when my doc. said in fact it was him trying to move down and he cant. So he will either be here on monday or tuesday. How bad are c-sections compared to natural labor? Im kind of scared because I didnt even think of that as an option because they kept saying he is so healthy and I am doing fine. Well he is still healthy just to big for me, which is weird cause I dont have gest. diabetes. some advice about c-sections please

If you are 41 and had your tubes tied 16 years ago what are the chances your are gonna get pregnant without a tubal reversal?

What are the chances you could concieve at this age even if you did have reversal surgery?

Is it possible to be pregnant for 3 or 4 months and not know it because you have been having normal periods or would the periods stop with pregnancy just like they do younger women?

How rare is it for a women to have a normal (red, heavy) period if she is pregnant for the first 3 or 4 months?

Do the chances of getting pregnant really drop after 40 like they claim?

I am thinking she wants another child but I am also thinking it aint gonna happen without tubal reversal and them it still may not.

Can anyone answer these questions so I can tell her some other opinions. Thanks

I need a good boys name. We have a girl name picked out. And our 2 year old sons name is Ryan Dale. Named after his dad and Grandpa. In keeping with the tradition, I would like to have Matthew as the middle name. Our last name is Kinsey. Any opinions. We don't really care for wild and exotic names though. Something simple.

Im not sorry for anything ive done but i think i have made the biggest mistake of my life. I am 4 months pregnant with my lover and he just had a baby. i had the opportunity to get an abortion but i just couldnt do it. I left him alone. Now he wants me back. It seems to me that he wants to do right. on the real he jumps through hoops to try to be with me but i cant share my man with no other female. I thought that if I still messed with him then next it will be drama with her and God knows i dont need no extra problems. I want my man and I want him in our childs life but should i be cautious of those facts and the could be. Or should i give him the benefit of the doubt and try it first.

Why do we chastise our children for lying to adults? When the adults lie to the children. e.g. tooth fairy, father christmas..... etc.

She's 20 months old, and she hasn't nursed for a couple days now. I know my breasts will go down in size when the milk dries up (right now I'm kind of engorged). I'm wondering if they'll be totally deflated when it's all over and done with, or if my boobs will be a bit bigger than they were pre-pregnancy, or what? Before I got pregnant I wasn't even an A cup. Throughout the past couple years I've been up and down but never more than a B. I'd like to be at least a good A, if not almost a B! (Right now I'm definitely a B, but like I said, I'm engorged).

I have had 3 miscarriages and one normal pregnancy. My little girl is 6 months old and i believe that I just miscarried twins. It has broken my heart. My husband said that it was just a tissue mass and not a baby yet. I believe that a baby is a baby from the moment of conception. He just doesn't understand. I know he was trying to make me feel better by trying to make it see like a less of a loss. However he was dwelling on it because he kept saying the same thing all night. I just feel so down. I dont know how to get over another one. I am grateful for the daughter I have, don't get me wrong, but this just hurts so badly. Just the loss of life hurts. We love children. He also says something about a spirit not being ready to enter the world. What do I do?

In a lifetime...how many times does the average child say the word "mommy???"

The name is Jaden. There are various ways to spell it. I really like the name. What is funny is that there is a division so many out there. (Reminds me of Democrats and Republicans!) So many people say that this name is *ONLY* for a boy and then I hear others out there say that that name is *ONLY* used for a girl!! Then there are others who are like me and think it's unisex. Britney Spears named her 2nd son Jayden, so that ruins that for the people who say it's only a girl's name.

Are there truely any unisex names out there? Someone is always going to say it's the opposite of what you think. If you say Carman is a boys name, someone else is going to say it sounds like for a girl.

Anyway, I'm naming a miscarried baby so I wanted a unisex name since I dont know if it was a girl or a boy.

My sister is 3 mos pregnant. First time. She is 35. Was told yesterday by a nurse in her ob/gyn's office that “her hormones were low on the serum test meaning her baby will be retarded.”

She is, of course, hysterical. Nurse had nothing more to tell her except that she can see the doctor this Tuesday. She is climbing the walls and I told her about this resource and that I would ask about this here.

Does anyone know about this? Has anyone had any experience of this during pregnancy? We just checked a Web site that said women hear this all the time, that it is very common and “usually” results in nothing. Is that true?

Thank you!

My husband says he wants kids but then makes smart remarks about how aggravating they are & how much money they will cost. I am concerned & confused. Sometimes he says that he would love to have one right now (he even told his mom we would try in March) & that it probably wouldn't be bad to be a daddy but then at other times he is making those negative remarks & acting like he doesn't. He is very wishy washy. Is he just nervous & scared of becoming a father? Money shouldn't be a problem because we both make really good money & I work at home plus we have alot of money saved up for a house. I've been ready for about a year now but I'm waiting on him (I don't want to do this without him). We are saving for a house, which hopefully we will get this time next year so maybe he is stressed about that. I was thinking about asking him to let's try to conceive next year before we get the house since it takes 9 months to carry but he'll probably say let's wait. What do you think I should do?

She was moderately depressed before the pregnancy and was on Wellbutrin at the time which seemed to help some. Now that she is exclusively breastfeeding, she cannot take any prescriptions, but is always getting upset to the point of crying and is very shy in some social settings (especially around friends). Last night we had some people over and I was just joking around with her and although i was just kidding with her she took it very seriously and started crying. I felt terrible as our guests had to leave and that I made her cry. When they left she calmed down, but the next morning (today) she lost it and started crying. When i apologized she said it's not that (meaning the night before) but that she is just fed up with staying at home with our son. I offered to stay home while she worked full time since she hates being at home all the time. She was really for it and we will be looking into this this weekend. What should i do to help her through this hard time?? God Bless
