She's 20 months old, and she hasn't nursed for a couple days now. I know my breasts will go down in size when the milk dries up (right now I'm kind of engorged). I'm wondering if they'll be totally deflated when it's all over and done with, or if my boobs will be a bit bigger than they were pre-pregnancy, or what? Before I got pregnant I wasn't even an A cup. Throughout the past couple years I've been up and down but never more than a B. I'd like to be at least a good A, if not almost a B! (Right now I'm definitely a B, but like I said, I'm engorged).

I was right down to my pre-pregnancy weight, and was feeling very drained, that's part of why I stopped nursing. Aw, man!

And I'm expecting again--the other reason we're weaning--I'm way too drained of energy and life and weight--due mid-June. But I found that even though I gained enough weight with my first my breasts didn't get much bigger, until after she was born.

It really depends...before I had babies I was a B cup during pregnancy and breastfeeding I went to a C and even D. I have remained a C since then...and I have lost all my baby weight. It really all depends on your body and how it will react to wt loss. My sister n law actually got smaller after she had a baby and she's not even back to her pre-pregnancy weight. Now most likely they will never be the same ( the aerola will probably stay enlarged and they most likely won't "perk" back up).

You know, you might keep more then you had. In my experience as a breastfeeding specialist and with friends and family, I've noticed that extended breast feeders tend to have larger breasts after weaning. I think it is due to developing more breast tissue throughout the nursing period. Mine stayed two sizes bigger then pre-pregnant after my first son weaned. But I got pregnant so quickly with my second that they may slowly shrink more after weaning for some time. I'm now nursing my third though and he's only 8 months so I won't know for a while.

Mine didn't really go down that much, they are actually a little bigger than before, but mind you so is the rest of me. I'm pretty happy. It's a good Idea to stop feeding while you are pregnant and feeling so drained..I kept feeding my daughter while pregnant with my son and I've never felt so tired in my life.

Breast tissue is predominantly fatty tissue. If you revert back to your pre pregnant weight, your boobs will go back to just how they were before... It would be nice if they stayed a bit bigger because they had been stretched a bit... but it just doesnt work like that. If you are a bit heavier than before then your breasts will likely be bigger too..... unless it goes straight to your tummy like me...lol

Chances are good that you will be a little larger than before the baby, but you may notice that they sag a little more than prior to your baby. So it's a catch-22: bigger boobs; little more sag. However, push-up bras are Wonderful!!

I know a few people who have retained a little size.... I haven't had my baby yet, but I have already gone up 2 cup sizes. I have boobs up to my ears!

they will look like flat pancakes after the milk dries up

start saving for a boob job or just live with empty pillows instead of tiddies
