The name is Jaden. There are various ways to spell it. I really like the name. What is funny is that there is a division so many out there. (Reminds me of Democrats and Republicans!) So many people say that this name is *ONLY* for a boy and then I hear others out there say that that name is *ONLY* used for a girl!! Then there are others who are like me and think it's unisex. Britney Spears named her 2nd son Jayden, so that ruins that for the people who say it's only a girl's name.

Are there truely any unisex names out there? Someone is always going to say it's the opposite of what you think. If you say Carman is a boys name, someone else is going to say it sounds like for a girl.

Anyway, I'm naming a miscarried baby so I wanted a unisex name since I dont know if it was a girl or a boy.

To the insensitive woman who is asking why you are naming a miscarried baby.... Have you ever been there? Do you understand the grieving process or what it is like to carry a child, be so excited, and have a part of you die when your baby does? And to make matters worse, even if you have experienced this you are too close minded and ignorant to keep you condemning comments to yourself. Most people especially women would at least try to be supportive and concerned (read the other comments) but you are obviously too self absorbed and self important to understand someone else's pain. Please think twice before adding your arrogance to a comment. Also, if it was stillborn she would know if it was a boy or girl, so think about that too and leave you egotism elsewhere.

To marriedcp... I am truly sorry for you loss. Name your child whatever you feel in your heart would be fitting. I think that Jaden is a beautiful name for either sex, and it feels right to you, then that's all that matters. I wish you the best in the future, and remember, everyone grieves differently and don't take to heart what ill-mannered people on this site have to say. God bless you and little one who god chose to take early.

Wow, I'm glad I didn't make any rude comments to you about your choice of a total unisex name! That's really clever of you, actually, for the situation. A cool idea! I haven't heard Jayden all that much, so I can't automatically think of a boy or girl specifically when I hear the name. Have you decided on the middle name yet like you were asking about?

Your comment about Carman just reminded me of the unisex name Cameron. (Camryn or Cameryn)

I am truly sorry for your situation.

Jaden (Jayden) is a true unisex name. If you feel strongly about this name, then by all means use it! Everyone always has an opinion about baby names, just, don't let them get to you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I think that Jayden is a wonderful name. How about Jayden Bailey, Jayden Casey, Jayden Quinn, Jayden Riley, or Jayden Spencer.

Man, everyone wants to name their baby Jayden these days. Anyway, you could always go unisex even more and call the baby Jay?

Or you can just go to www.behindthename.com
and look through all those names.

I liked the name for a girl because it sounds very feminine to me. I know a few Jades so to me it is just the full name of Jade.
