I am interested in becoming a surrogate. Has anyone been one? Any advice? Has anyone considered it? Any facts to share?

My fiance and I have 2 children already and we're discussing a third in a few years. Anyways, he says he doesn't want another child and I do. The thing I don't get is some comments he makes frequently. Yesterday, he asked our oldest daughter if she wanted a little brother. A few months ago we weretalking about breastfeeding and I said that if we had another baby, I wanted to breastfeed because I was unable to with our first 2 children. He told me that whenever we have a boy that the boy would be breastfed. Another comment was that it would be funny that when we had a boy, he would probably look just like me since our daughters are the spitting image of him. Is it just me or does it seem like he's leaning into a yes on the other baby? If not wouldn't he be saying "if" and not "when?"

Wow, I have so many questions tonight, and this is the only place I can get quick answers. lol Anyway, if you found out that you and your bf/gf were expecting a baby, and the two of you had discussed marriage, but were not ready to make that step before you found out about the baby, would you consider eloping soon after you found out, and before any of your family or friends found out? Would you consider this to be a responsible and mature thing to do for the sake of your child and their future? From the views of the parent: would most parents applaud their child's decision to have a quick marriage, and then announce that they are both pregnant and married? OR do most parent's feel that it would be better if their child let them know beforehand?

i wonder at what age children can learn to understand and how to deal with offenders and kidnappers? I am thinking around 9 or 7 because the younger they are the better, but not too young. most likely little ones will not take you seriously.

However, i'm not saying i want to blurt out saying evil is coming or anything. but i would teach them how to protect themselves.

How many of you think that young mothers should be made to go to parenting classes by the law. You here so much about young mothers babies dying or coming up missing or being shook to death, makes me wonder should this be a law. I know it sounds bad and we shouldn't make anyone do anything they don't want, but just like we need to train for driving, why not parenting, Not saying it will stop the loss of babies but it mite help. Just wanted to know what others think!!! ~~~ I recived this story for another member on answer http://cbs5.com/topstories/topstories_story_265131050.html

Lets say your daughter is 24, and a recent college graduate. She has yet to find or settle into a career, but she knows what she wants her career to be. She'd like to one day get her Masters, but want's to take a break first. If she came to you, and told you that she was pregnant, would you be upset because she is unmarried, just getting started in life, and doesn't have a career yet? Or, would you be more accepting because at least she has a degree, and is 24 and not 14? How would you feel? What would be the best way for you for your daughter to tell you about this pregnancy? Would you be upset if, out of fear, she told you later rather than sooner?

My fiance had a daughter with another "man" a few years before we got together. The little girl is 4 now and the "father" is rarely around, if at all. He sees her about once every 3-6 months for a few minutes, he hasn't paid a penny in child support in over a year and in general doesn't comply with anything in the custody orders.
Anway, I have been raising her as my own for the last 15 months, and love her and her mother to death. However, I have a fantastic job offer in California, but the court papers say that the mother must live within Dallas county or an adjacent one. My question is: how do we go about getting this changed, and how difficult is it? I don't know if the "father" will fight it or not, but he may just because he's an *** like that and wants to maintain control over the mother.
Thanks in advance, and please provide sources if at all possible.

Everytime a question is asked about teens or anything--someone can relate and say they were a teen mother. It just seems fishy to me. Do you really think there are that many teen mothers out there?

I am pregnant with my third child, and I am planning on having my tubes tied after we have this baby. My question is, Has anyone who had their tubes tied had problems afterwards? I have heard that you get really bad cramps, and really heavy periods. Just wanted some advice. I'm 26, and I am sure this is what I want to do, but I was just wondering if anyone has had any major, or minor problems. Thanks.

Would a loving residential setting be a consideration you'd make so that she could avoid the embarassment, shame, ridicule and gossip of her familiar surroundings? Would this be old-fashioned nowadays or would you find a home for pregnant teens (16-19) a good idea? This home would provide life skills training, budgeting and financial planning, healthy lifestyle lessons, parenting skills, social etiquette and conversation skills and planned parenthood classes. Your daughter would be required to continue her education, volunteer at a Assisted Living Home and Journal her stay at the Home. This would be her "home away from home" and she'd share a room with another female. They would have housekeeping chores and be supervised 24/7, not imprisoned but not have unrestricted freedom, either. Do you feel such an environment would be advantageous for a pregnant teen? The father of the baby could visit only with parental consent. Families could visit anytime if not interferring with school.
