When you donate your eggs "nice happy thoughts about helping others or monetary rewards put aside" you are indeed giving away a piece of yourself,your own DNA,which is what genetically will make the child yours!Another woman is essentially carrying your genetic material.Its the same as having a baby and giving it up for an adoption.I do not think that people really think about the after affects of egg donation,their will come a time in the child's life where they will find out their mothers donated an egg and that egg was them.I think the information age has desensitized people to the fact that life is a delicate balance.Egg donation is not a simple procedure,it is tedius often times painful,lengthy and involved. Their is a 20% fatality rate! They do not like to advertize this little fact often! Scientists do not know the long term affects of egg donation on a womans health.So do not be blind educate yourself on the facts!

Donating your eggs is a very involved process. You have to be committed to it and you cannot waiver on that commitment. if this is something that you are considering doing then that is your choice. I thought about it for a while but then I got pregnant so oh well. But I always thought about the fact that there are so many people out there who cannot have kids but want them and if I could help them with that then I would. GOOD LUCK

I am not sure...maybe if I was really hard up for money and the couple was a nice honest couple I would toss the idea around. I do think highly of those who do donate their eggs and their body to help others. Its a very special gift to give.

Do it. It's a great way to help infertile couples.
Unfortunately for women, donating eggs is nowhere near as much fun as it is for us men when we donate sperm. :)
But yeah, go for it. You'll be helping somebody.

I was giving serious thought to doing so as you can get alot of money for it. However it would be weird to know that I had a child someplace in the world. That and my mom flipped when she found out what I was planning.

well, i read an article saying its not advised, its not good, sorry i don't remember the details of why, all i remember is that its not good, so therefore i don't plan on donating my eggs no matter how much money is offered, its not worth it.
