I have gone through many different types in search of a happy medium between the best (HUGGIES! --expensive!!!!) and the not so great (Parent's Choice--cheap but plastic ), Pampers are okay they seem to make my son feel wet with the slightest moisture. Huggies he can pee a river and never feel a thing. So, I use Huggies at night and Pampers or White Cloud from Walmart (whichever is cheaper with or without coupons). Do you use

We put our baby down on a bouncy seat or on a bed, etc. after putting her to sleep by rocking her in our arms, etc. Initially, she sleeps, then she wakes up after 5-10 minutes. Then we have to start over. How can we increase these 5-10 minute naps to about 2 hours maybe? She was born 08.11.07.

Does anybody know about when a baby starts to hold their head up? Also my son has these red bumps on his face, head and right at his collar line. We are using everything hypoallergnic. And we have changed nothing on us either, any thoughts as to what it may be?

I'm thinking about buying a wrap to carry my son in because the front carrier I use is just not comfortable for me because I am short. My husband mainly uses that one. Does anyone have any wraps that they have used and would reccomend them? Thanks in advance!

At first I wasn't going to breast feed at all...but now I'm thinking I might try and if it goes okay then I plan on doing it for the first month. I don't really want to do it for that long but I was wondering if I only do it for 4 weeks or so is this still better then not doing it at all? Btw I'm 29 weeks along with my first, its a boy, Nolan Christopher.

My daughter is 5 1/2 months old. She woke up at 4:30 and threw up:( Since 4:30 this morning (it is now almost 11) she has only eaten 4oz of formula. She is constantly crying. Her temperature is 100.9. I have been holding her and cuddling her ever since she woke up but she just keeps crying/whining. She has been sick before, but she hasn't cried this much. I have tried giving her gatoraid so she won't get dehydrated but she won't drink it. I am worried she will get dehydrated. Is there anything I can do to make sure she doesn't get dehydrated, if she won't drink anything? Also, she is teething now. Could her constant crying be due to her teething or her being sick?

my 3 month old will cry a lil cry in his sleep from time to time. i feed him and change his diaper after the first time he does it. then i wait 3 hours and do it again. durrin the night. but in between he can make lil whiney noises and i'm okay with that but my mom seems to be jumpin up for every lil sound he makes and i feel like she's makin me feel like i'm not bein a good mom or something. and if he goes past 3 hours sleepin without a bottle she says he's not gettin his nutrition he needs and that he should have the bottle even if it means wakin him up to give it to him....? i can't wait till i move out. so that way i can jus hang up on her instead of hearin her constant naggin.

My 2.5 mth feeds like there's no tomorrow, which leads to bloated tummy when he finishes and that makes it very uncomfortable for him to be burp sitting on my lap because his round tummy will be on the way. i cant burp him upright against my shoulder cause his neck is still rubbery and of course if I burp him on my forearm, it can cause him to vomit.

My baby is 2 mths and 4 weeks. My hubby gave him a little bit of syrup from the canned longans. I scolded him because I know that we shouldn't start baby on anything until he is 6 mths old unless told by pedaetrician. What are the complications if my baby is feed food that we adults eat on the long term? When can he start eating food or drinks that we take?

When should I stop breastfeeding? I don't really like the idea of formula........ When do children stop taking milk? I also don't give my baby plain water because I read up in the net that babies who are breastfeed don't need plain water unless they are taking formula. People have told me that if I don't start baby on plain water he will have refuse it when he grows up. Is it true?

No pacifiers and bottles throughout baby's growing stage? Is it normal?

My daugher is almost 5 months old and isnt sleeping through the night. She used to only get up once or twice during the night but for the past couple weeks its been every 2-3 hours she gets up!!! I need my sleep! Everyone tells me they think shes teething but i dont see any signs of it! Ive tried simethicone drops and cereal before bed! Ive tried letting her sleep in my room and in her own room! Nothing seems to work! And she only takes like 2 hours worth of naps during the day total, sometimes not even that! Any advice or ideas? much appreciated!

Whether you are a formula feeding mother or just storing breast milk to get away for a couple hours I was curious about what temperature you give the bottle to baby.

This question is specifically targeted for newborns. I got a baby bottle warmer and don't feel safe using it. Can I just use normal room temperature tap water??

My son eats 41 ounces a day plus he gets cereal twice a day. He ALWAYS seems hungry. He weighs 14.4lbs (which the doc said is good) But why, why, why is he eating so much? It seems like whenever he's awake he's eating, then he cries to go to sleep. Is this normal? This is my 3rd kid and this just seems like too much food. Do you think it would help to give him other solids than rice cereal?

My son is having trouble going #2. I have to help him along with a rectal thermometer and give him a tsp of karo syrup in his bottles. He is on a special formula called Nutramigen (about 10 days now). He is cranky and always seems to be trying to push. Also, since he is now on this formula, he tends to spit up a bit. Not too much, though. I wish there was more I could do for him, he just seems so uncomfortable. I've been to the doc twice and she changed the formula. I don't want to call her for every little problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. How many times a day should baby be going and is it too soon for a tsp of oatmeal is his bottle? Thanks
