If you want to continue to front carry, get something similar to a moby wrap. You can even make it yourself, like I'm doing. Simply get 5 yards of cotton (think T-shirt fabric) and cut it about 25-30" wide. You should be able to get about 3 wraps just from that alone!
This link shows you the different ways to use a wrap: http://www.gypsymama.com/
I currently have a sling and a pouch but it's wearing me down. My son is almost 20 lbs and I'm only 5'1". Before I buy anything else that is too expensive (like an Ergo), I'll make my own wraparound and see how I like it. If I hate it, I'll make something out of the fabric. Like a pillow. No money wasted.

I had a Didymos and loved it. In general, the stretchy wraps are fine for smaller babies, but stretch and bounce too much as the baby gets bigger. The woven wraps are better for longer use. I used my wrap constantly until my daughter was walking, and occasionally until she was about 3.
This site has lots of good info. -

We love our Moby Wrap! My husband and I can both wear it (he wears a 2x) and its so convenient. Our daughter really prefers it too. She wasn't a fan of the Baby Bjorn, but she's always been comfy in her Moby. She's almost 20 lbs and I still wear her comfortably!

We used the Moby Wrap...it was okay...but not worth the 50 bucks we spent on it. It stretchs and sags and wasn't comfortable.

Try having one custom made to fit you. Craigs List has very good seamstress's who can help make your current one fit you more comfortably. I adjusted mine myself and was amazed at the difference it made on my back!
