It could be teething. Do her gums seem swollen? If so, you could try teething tablets, or a little infant tylenol at bedtime. Don't let her cry herself to sleep! Whatever is causing this, she clearly doesn't feel well and needs comforting. Hold her, rock her, and soothe her as best you can until she can get to sleep.
Are you feeding her any foods other than breast milk? If so, she could be having trouble digesting whatever you are feeding her. You might try a few days of just breast milk and see if that helps.
It could also be a virus or infection of some sort, so if you don't think it is her teeth or her food, a call to her doctor would be in order.
I hope she feels better soon!

Its probably just a stage she's going thru but her feelings are very real to her and you are her answer. She learns to trust by what you do (for the rest of her life) You need to be there for her. She will grow out of it but meantime you need to reasure her you are there. Maybe a sling for a few days or just pick her up for a few minutes and then down again. Before age 5 you cannot tell a child "Be tough" they have not developed the mechanism to rationalize, which is why they need mothers.

there are multiple things that can be wrong - ear infection, teething (both would cause her to get fussy while feeding, and wake at night) or simply should could be actually constipated. also separation anxiety can be the cause for not wanting to sleep. Call your doctor or nurse, I mean its their job and they completely understand...so its not like you are bothering them. GOOD LUCK

Teething! Hylands teething tabs are natural, safe and work pretty well. Motrin is great as well. My son is 7 mos. and didn't show signs of teething except waking every hour all night crying. Now he has two teeth and his top gums are swollen, so I'm preparing for more sleepless nights!

It could be so many things. An ear infection is my first guess, especially with this time of year. The second is that she is constipated. Take her to her doctor and have her checked out. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

Sounds like teething and a desire to be part of the world that she's learning how to explore.
its normal, every baby goes through it.
Give her tylenol and see if it helps. Teething is worse at night.
And then let her cry herself to sleep if she still wont go down. SHe is over tired, and its normal behavior for teething, or even just for her age and development.
She'll cry on and on for a couple or few hours, and then fall asleep. It'll only last like that for a few nights, and then she'll get used to it and you can put her down asleep and if she wakes up, or doesnt go down right away, she'll know how to do it herself.
