yes you can.

even if you nurse 100% round the clock, a delayed menstrual cycle is not a guarantee... just most women experience a delay.

I didn't... I nursed my daughter round the clock...never more than a 2-3 hour break and started my period at 2 months. Everyone is different. I have a friend who went over 2 years, even 3 months longer than her son nursed, w/out a period!!

again... there is no guarantee... though I wish I was more like my friend in this department!

If your breast feed you can still get your period. I never missed a period after i delivered and I breast fed till my son was a year old. Many women's periods can be delayed after delivery if they breast feed but not all. If you are going to be delayed it will be the same way if your only pumping because it's not the sucking that causes the delay, its the lactation. It will just depend on your own body.

You can have a period if you pump, breast feed, or anything else, except take the right birth control pills. Breastfeeding is NOT a contraceptive, so if you're not ready to have another baby, get some birth control.

i didnt get my period until i started my son on solids at 6 months (i stopped him having his lunch breast feeding) it doesnt matter if you are using a pump or not your body is still producing milk. in most women your period will return as soon as you cut down on the breast feeds

I nurse and get a period, but if you don't and you are switching to pumping then it should have the same effect on your body, everybody is different

You can get pregnant if you are breastfeeding.
The entire dairy industry depends on this as most cows have to calve every year so for 7 months they are milking and pregnant.

I know many woman who have gotten pregnant while breastfeeding.

If you breast feed *it may hold off your period*. you can still have it when you breast feed, and pump.

it honestly depends on the woman, some might get it, or might not... sometimes it just holds it off for a few months. just depends.
