I am a 23 year old recent college grad with no children. Although I would like to have them someday everytime I hold my friend's nephew he always cries. This discourages me from wanting to have kids because I feel if this baby hates me and I can't stop him from crying, I am going to be a bad mother. Is it normal for me to feel this way???

I have heard as well as read, this year alone, 1 million Americans will lose their homes to foreclosure.

The mortgage industry uses so many terms most individuals don't understand and today, I need clarity!

Maybe, just maybe if people were given a mortgage dictionary, if you will, prior to obtaining a mortgage, they would understand what they are about to pursue.

What do the words "sub prime" mean? Please explain to me, as if I were a ten year old!

Thank You Kindly!

okay...I am being induced on Thursday, and I am planning on bottle feeding, I am stuck between 3 bottles, and 2 nipples...so I was hoping you guys could give some opinions:
bottle choices are: Advent, Dr Brown, or the playtex ventaire
and then of course which is better...standard nipple? or the natural nipple? and then there are the endles and endless choices of formula....but which one is best? I'm leaning more towards Carnation Good Start, but they have the Iron fortified, then the iron fortified supreme with DHA and ARA, and now the Natural Cultures with Dha and Ara, (apparently the new one helps to promote a healthy immune system, but it doesn't state if its for babies with and unhealthy one or all babies) please help! and please no comments on breastfeeding, I've already struggled with this, I tried with my first child and while it may be TMI, the fact of the matter is...I basically lost my right nipple due to her feeding on it.....

Does anyone know if I can purchase a large infant seat like a bebe pod or bumbo seat? My son is almost 5 months old and hates to lie down, he can also sit up for several minutes at a time completely on his own... but, he still has a tendency to shoot himself backwards so I am needing a seat that he can sit in to play... We bought a bumbo seat but it is too small, he is 21 lbs... was 10 lbs 6 oz at birth and his little legs are just too big for that seat... Also, we dont wanna put him in his highchair to play because we want him to associate that with eating... He also has an exersaucer but he gets bored with that and I need something else he can sit in to play... Anyways, I cant seem to find a larger size of the infant seats so I was just wondering if anyone knew of anything?!?!
Thanks in advance!!!

I am getting ready to take my 11 month old daughter off of the baby food. She is eating pancakes and waffles for breakfast. However, i am stuck on what to feed her for lunch and dinner. What kinds of foods would you suggest I feed her. She has her two bottom teeth and she is getting one of her tops ones now. She can just about gum anything. I want to feed her health foods but just am stuck on what. She doesnt like the 3rd foods, with meats and vegs. So those arent an option. So any kinds of foods other moms feed their children would be great help. Thanks

In your opinion, do you think it's "okay" or "normal" to be upset when you're told the gender of your baby and it's not the one you were hoping for?

Does it make you a bad mom? Even if you almost cry?

(mind you, 2 minutes later you're completely thrilled no matter what it is. so i'm just talking about the second you're told).

***just a poll .... I'm not pregnant***

my son is 2.5 months old, and only falls asleep if he is moving (car, seing, rocking), or if he is lying on someone's chest getting his back rubbed or his bottom pat. i dont want him to think he will get it forever, so how do i get him to sleep without having to do all this, and without him screaming himself to sleep?

And is awake on and off all night. She is 5 days old and during the day she takes a whole 3oz bottle. But during the night she wakes almost hourly feeds a little then goes back to sleep. They have tried tickling her feet, changing her to wake her but nothing works.
As you can imagine they are both shattered, and wondered if there is anyway they can turn this upside down baby, back the right way.

Why not? People do it all the time, & people tell me I shouldn't talk baby talk to babies. They said it would mess up the vocabulary & create speech impediments. Is this true? I've seen babies receive baby talk & grow up to talk fine, just like anyone else.

right now im 34 weeks and was hospitalized this week because i was having frequent contractions and im already dilated and my son is still breech.

anyways, the doctor said that if i did have my son early, i'd have to pump my milk and feed it to him in a bottle. he said preemies cant suck right? well im really concerned because i have a feeling i might end up having him before my due date, i really want breastfeeding to work, and i dont want to start him off with a bottle.

is it possible and reasonable for me to stand up and ask to breastfeed, or will the hospital force me to pump? i feel really strongly about breastfeeding and i want to start it off right.

need advice please!

I have a 8 months old baby girl. I haven't started giving her any baby food yet. Is this affect to the baby's future development? She is heavier than average weight and very healthy right now. Should I start the baby food right away or can I start whenever I feel it's ready?

When we were in the hospital the nursery nurse said she was feeding at every 4 hours. Some times she goes 4 hours in between feedings and some times 5 to 6 but then theres time where she things she's hungry an hour later. Maybe she is maybe she's not. She doesn't spit up a lot just if she's shakin' up abit from moving her around to much. Is it gas that she does this an hour later? How often am I suppose to feed her and how do I know to bump up her oz's?
