My son weighs 17 lbs, 2 ounces and he is barely 4 months old. He is formula fed. Should I worry since the doctor told me that the average 1 year old weighs 20 lbs??

My son is almost 26 inches long and weighed 9.9 lbs at birth..I am assuming that he is just a bigger than average baby.

i was trying to get my son's Hylands' tablets under his tongue, and as i rubbed his lower gum, i felt something sharp.. Yay first tooth.. So since it's braking skin, is pain going to be over? Or just begun?.. how long untill it's all the way out? And when should i expect the one beside it, and top ones?

ok, so my son who is 4 weeks old shows signs like he could be lactose intolerant, cries after eating, very gassy, just fussy all the time, throws up almost everytime. but i tried the lactose intolerant formula, and its not helping, what else could be wrong, and please don't say take him to the doctor, because shes a moron and there is no other doctor I can see.

We keep our house at about 74-75 degrees. Our little guy stays pretty warm. The back of his neck is always warm and not cold, so I figure if he kicks his blanket off he is too warm. My mom (who's 75 years old) keeps telling me that I need to keep covering him up because he's cold. I appreciate my mom and her advice, but I disagree with her on this one. Thanks for answering my question.

We have a 10 week old and may go to a major league baseball game in Atlanta GA on Wed night. Game starts at 7:30pm and it will probably be about 95 outside. We planned on keeping him in the consession area where it is shady, if we are in direct sunlight. But if we are in the shade, we may stay in our seats a while. I have these cool cloth things, water, and milk for him. But is it not wise to have him in the heat for 2-3 hours? I don't think it will hurt him as long as he is hydrated and not in direct sun, but I am not sure.

This is my husband and my first child-due 10/31. It is also my husband's sister/brother's first nephew, and his parents' first grandchild. They have all done a lot for us and are very supportive. They have purchased the crib, clothes, carseat, stroller, dresser, etc. They have also helped with re-arranging our living space to make it baby-friendly. My family (with the exception of my cousin) has been less than supportive. I'm lucky if I get a phone call once a month from them. My in-laws are aware of this and have decided to step up. Let me point out that I have never asked anybody for anything. My husband and his family are extremely close. Last night, my husband and I got into a big argument because I said that I would like to take just a couple of days following the birth for us to bond as three and to postpone the arrivals of his sister/brother. While they are helpful, they are overbearing. My sister-in-law even said that she will buy the baby's going home outfit and is seriously

He is 7 weeks old & I've taken him to the doctor's who have said it will just go on it's own & there's nothing they can prescribe for it. But his nose is so bunged up & mucasy his breathing is a lot more difficult than normal. Has anyone been through this & can you suggest anything?? I took his temperature last night & it indicated a low fever but is back to normal this morning. Any idea how long these viral infections last?

i have a 2 month old baby n i'm breat feeding him but not directly from my breast, (i'm pumping the milk out n then giving it to him..) it was going ok in the beginig but now the milk is very little n it's not enough for my baby at all, so i had to also give him formula n keep punping so i don't loose the milk at all.
can i do that or is it bad to mix what the baby eats now?

My friend's 9 month old refuses baby food and only wants to eat "big kid" food now. None of us are understanding it because he only has his two bottom teeth and one upper one, but just wants to be able to chew on his food. Is it okay for him to start on table food this early?
