she is turning into such a handful!! :) she is crawling everywhere and standing up anywhere she can pull herself up....the real problems are trying to get her to be still!! she doesnt like to eat...she doesnt want her bottles...when its time for food she will have two or three bites and then she is done..she wants down..i will give her a bottle and she will have about three ounces and thats it...doesnt matter if its juice or formula..im really worried that she is getting enough nutrition so i have started to give her the Poly-Vi-Sol vitamins...is this a phase or should i be worried?

Also any ideas on what i can do to keep her still while changing her diaper? She likes to roll away and scream...
One more thing :)
Is it normal for a child this age to watch tv? i dont set her in front of it but she gets easily distracted by it..especially if its a program with lots of music..if i take her away from it she starts crying..I heard that babies that watch tv can develop autism..HELP?!

she has only just turned one (not yet walking or crawling) and she has four bottom and top teeth. I do think she is teething but its gotten to the point that I cant even carry her now without getting bitten on my shoulder. Is she too young to reprimand? How can I teach her it is wrong?

My son is six and a half months he just learned to roll over last month. Every time he does he screams and throw a fit till I pick him up I've let him scream a little but nothing has inproved. He hasn't said his first word either. My first son said his first word at four months and was crawling by six. I know I should compare them. But I think he's delaying a little to long.

she has cried for over an hour. That's as much as I could stand. I have been sleeping with her since she was born since I was, and still am, nursing. This worked PERFECTLY with my first baby and when she was my baby's age (11 months) she was sleeping almost the entire night alone in her crib. She was great about taking 2 long naps a day, everyday, in her crib. too. So I thought this sleeping arrangement would work out again. WRONG. She will not sleep by herself even though the babysitter (all day 5 days a week) has no problem at all getting her to take a nap in the packnplay. I have tried a pacifier, rocking her, stroking her back, etc. but she just stands there gripping onto the bars of the crib SCREAMING. HELP! This is not good for her, for her sister, for me, for my ailing marriage. But I am often just too tired to fight at the end of the day not to mention the crying keeps her big sister up. HELP!!!

I can feed him for 30 minutes on each side and he's still hungry! I'm at my witts end. I try to pump in between feedings but I never have time because he's always feeding. When I do pump I don't get anything. When should I supplement with formula? Or do I just not have enough milk? Could someone with some insight please help=(

My new son has not had a bowel movement for two days. He keeps bearing down like he's trying real hard to poop, but nothing. He just vomited all over the two of us as well, but is not running fever or acting fussy. He has a doctor's appt tommorrow morning by the way.
I've been told that I can give him water and that may help, but how much to give? Any advice?

he had to have an extensive work up. i was told some results would be in on tuesday, some on wednesday, and the rest on friday. i called all day tuesday and wednesday and they said they still hadn't gotten them. i called the lab, and was told they had already been forwarded to the dr. i called back to the dr. and told them the lab said they forwarded them. i was then told that they had the results and someone would call me back. this was at 3:00 yesterday and no one ever called. everytime i call up there, i have to speak to 2 or 3 different people because they don't even know who i am when i call. should i keep calling? im just so frustrated. we are all waiting here, very anxiously, and it seems like they are being so inconsiderate. what should i do if anything to speed this up?

I have an 8 month old daughter, who has been teething for about the last 2 months or so. Since she has started teething she acts as though her ear is bothering her, only on the right side. She twists her head and turns that way all the time. Does her teething have something to do with her ear?

We recently switched to a soy formula 10 days ago. His stools are loose and yellow, and he seems to be going 2-3 times a day. I don't know if this is ok. I am on WIC, and they only give you two choices of formula. The baby will be sleeping one moment, and scream in pain the next. I have tried Mylicon, and Gripe water, which seam to help for a little bit. I have tried all moving his legs and massaing him. I don't know how else to help him.

Due to uncontrolable circumstances my 2 week old daughter has been given both breastmilk and formula. I seem to have an adequate supply of breast milk but after my daughter nurses or is given a bottle of breastmilk she is still hungry. She usually drinks 2-3 ounces of formula but breast milk she takes about 4 ounces and then 1 ounces of formula to fill her up. I'm assuming that my breast milk is just not doing it for her. Should I give up and give her bottle only or should I keep giving her what breastmilk I can for as long as I can?

This question may have been asked a few times. But, Which diapers do you prefer to use for your baby? I know it sometimes depends on the baby but are there any that you will always use? Maybe between a few different brands?

My wife has had trouble breastfeeding. A friend recommended to her that she try a breast shield, and it seems to be working. Our baby latches on now without problems.

My only concern is that the breast shield packaging states that breast shields are only to be used with the supervision of a lactation consultant. Everything seems to be going fine (well, better the fine, our baby actually likes to be breastfed now). Is there anything we need to know about a breast shield? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I am 20 weeks along with my first baby. A girl. I know that breast feeding is best, and its a very natural thing to do. However, the idea of it makes me feel perverted or something? Is that odd? Im sure my perception will change once the little one is around but has anyone else ever felt the same? What percentage of women breastfeed anyways?
